Hello! I was wondering if anyone had any tips for treating fatigue due to PMS. I am borderline anemic so I'm not sure if that plays a part. Are there any vitamins or foods i should be consuming to alleviate it? I'm basically a walking zombie for one week every month, i'm tired of it! Thanks for your help :)

Being anemic defnitely makes a difference. In fact, one of the main indicators of anemia is fatigue. Plus, when you begin your cycle, you are losing more of what you needed in the first place.
Beets, dark green leafy vegetables, and fish are all good for staving all anemia as is a good supplement of B vitamins or iron.
Do you exercise? I find that working out gives me more energy during that time and lessens any discomfort.
Have you had tests done for anemia? If not, you should so that you know what's really going on and then you and your healthcare professional can devise a combination of diet/supplement/lifestyle solutions that will keep your energy up.

co-signing what Divine Inspiration said. Also, E3 live helped me a lot. And, eating mostly raw foods. The more raw foods I eat, especially during that time, the better I felt! Good Luck!

Thank you, thank you SO much everyone! I will definitely try the products suggested and DI, once again you are invaluable! I went out and bought as many greens as I could and I got some tuna and B vitamins. I just woke up at 12pm and still felt like I needed another 12 hours of sleep. I ate a tuna salad and took a B-Complex vitamin and I'm feeling much, much more awake. I know this will help someone else in the future.

Wow... this thread is on time....
Just this week my blood was tested twice and undeniably anemic.... and now the symptoms make sense, esp. in recent weeks/months: fatigue, shakiness....
So I just started iron supplements (I wasn't comfortable w/the drugstore kind (ferrous sulfate?) so I went to the health food store and got "Hema-Plex". and I'm told it won't constipate me.... It's only been a couple of days and so far, no bad effects. Also looking to incorporate more iron-rich foods in my diet. I have some blackstrap molasses... how to consume? Just a spoonful or something?
I go back to the doctor at the beginning of December for a check-up.
