I used to do Tae-bo a few years back (Adanced DVD), and for the first week, it did make my muscle sore. But after the first week, the effect wore off! It never effected me again! Has anyone else ever tried Tae-bo? Does it work for you? http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I was just wondering 'cause he IS making a lot of money from his tapes and DVD's.

it worked for me when i was using it constantly. my old boss told me i was 'wasting away' that's how fast the pounds dropped http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

The truth is, ANY cardio exercise that you like and will stick to works!:) Ive lost 55 pounds (was 65 but stopped working out for the past few months and went on a cruise so Ive gained 10 back..yikes! back to the gym again now though!) through taking alot of aerobics classes ....mainly step and kickboxing. I was addicted to them so I went 5 and 6 days a week! Then I even started teaching aerobics bc I liked it so much!:) basically, just cut back on eating and do any kind of exercise consistantly and u will lose weight, its science that if you burn more calories than you take in you lose weight:) I used to do tae bo but I cant stick to the same workout over and over...

YES!!! It does work! However, I am getting bored of it. I have it memorized now. I do Tae Bo advance 5 days/week. I have to get another tape to mix things up a bit. Mind you, I still sweat like a DOG when I work out, but that's a good thing (IMO). I am getting thinner, but my muscles are getting FIRM!!! My legs are getting rock hard! I can't believe it. That and a low fat (or low carb or whatever your preference is) diet and you'll lose weight.

My problem is just having the patience to get to my goal weight. (about 10-13 pounds or so).

Yes Tae-bo works. I haven't used them in a while (been lazy the past couple of weeks) but when I did I saw immediate results. My muscles were firming up and I began losing inches and pounds. I think if you do any workout or a period of time as you get stronger things that were difficult in the beginning aren't going to be as difficult anymore. Also it's typical for one to feel sore especially if it's your first time exercising in a while. I think you should look at it as your getting stronger and making progess.

Hey webby! How's the babe?

I've been doing Tae-bo faithfully for two weeks now, and I am just amazed at my legs (specifically my thighs)! I can't stop tensing them up just to feel the muscle. I also just noticed today that my calf muscles (which have always been skinny and puny) are getting hard too!

yes, the reason i think it is so good is because it is a fun workout. that is why many people can stick to it while they can't stick to other things. i loved, i was so toned and cut when i did it...then i got lazy

I have decided that when I come in to a lil more money I will buy mines off ebay or half.com.

BUT I am unsure what DVD to start with

edited to say that I agree with the person that said wasting away the bpounds that is how I am now, last summer I was a 20, and now I am a 14, I think it is because I dont eat as much, and I am more aware of the types of food I eat

I also work out ot Walk away the pounds, but it is boring me now to death! all 1, 2, and 3 miles, LOL

I'd say start with anyone of his basic workout videos, they help set the foundation for everything else. He goes at a pace that I think is reasonable for somebody starting out. Also I think starting with the basic will help you see if you like that style of aerobic exercise. He has a lot of different versions like now I think taebo live 2004 is out but I have a live version from two years back. In any case whether you pick an older video or newer i'd still start with the basic video in that version. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I got four cassettes for a $30 value @ FYI. I guess I spend some time with Tae-bo this summer. I'm guessing that he didn't affect me that much because I was playing two sports at the time (soccer & tennis). But it's the summer so it couldn't hurt to give him another chance.
