I was wondering if toning without losing weight is possible.

I am 25 years old, 5'2 and I weigh 98lbs (I look sexy though http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif) but I just wanted know of a good program that will allow me to tone without losing weight.

My doctor told me the best way to stay in shape after to kids is to be in shape b/4 kids. So I decided to take his advice and start from now being that I would like to start having kids in the next 3 years.

Any suggestions?

In general, heavy weights and fewer repetitions build muscle (meaning size and therefore increase in weight), while lighter weights and more reps tone (ie you maintain your size more or less and improve on firmness). At least, that's what I believe.
