Have any of you tried Bikram Yoga? It's a serious of 26 postures performed in a heated room.
It is truly amazing not only does it detoxify like the Master Cleanse, but it also tones your body, improves flexibility, works wonders for your hair and skin...it is also really good for your mental/emotional health.
Bikram Yoga changed my life...I think you ladies should give it a try.
If you have questions feel free to ask.

Love me some bikram! You leave class all hot and sweaty and accomplished....almost as good as baby-making :)

I go 5 days a week...I started taking classes in May of last year. After the first class I didn't think it was for me, but they had a promotion going on (30 days for $30) and I didn't want to waste the money so I kept going and eventually fell in love.

I have long been interested in checking this out. Does it actually help transform your body or is it mostly for relaxation?
Also, do you already need to be in decent shape to try it? I remember years ago when I tried to do a Pilates dvd, no one told me that you actually have to kind of already be in shape to do it. I was huffing and puffing after 45 seconds.:nono:

It has transformed my body..one of my instructors lost 108 pounds in his first two and a half years of doing Bikram (he also changed his eating habits)
You don't have to be in great shape, you try your best to perform each pose...you just have to be able to deal with the heat. The heat for me was the hardest part.

My plan for this week is to go to regular yoga to get familiar with the poses again.
I'll hit Bikram the following week, God willing...

The heat is nooooooooo joke. I started this past summer:yep: It is amazing. I try to go at least 2 nights a week. Sometimes the instructor pushes us so hard I wanna go up an slap her:catfight:....but it's always worth it at the end.:yep: For anyone who wants to try it, do not eat at least 3 hrs before going, because you will feel extremely nuaseaous. And don't forget to say hydrated.:)

I did Bikram once and I thought I was going to die! My friend called and told me to go to a Yoga class with her, but she didn't tell me that it was in a heated room. I was thinking that I was going to relax and chill, but no. I still have nightmares about it. I hear that it's good, but I am scared to go back

I did Bikram Yoga it was really good to my body in terms of the stretching but I had to stop because of sooo many reasons
1. It was winter when I started and comming out of a sweltering room with your pores all open only left me asking for pnewmonia (mispelled) cause I was going oout into the extreme cold (I live in Toronto where the winters are no joke)
2. the class was 120. dollars for the month!!!! so that was the main reason y I stopped:sad:.

I love Bikram! It is extremely relaxing. Well, actually it's very intense but afterward your body is as loose and relaxed as a limp noodle.
