I think i need to quit using too much oil on myhair for a while. I have pimples ALL around my face ...ughh and a nice complexion within, it looks less than pleasing!! On top of that i have these nasty dark spots from pimples i may have popped haloing my face as well.
I'm of a really light complexion, so the brown spots are really noticeable. I use drug-store brand benzoyl peroxide at 10% every now and then, but is there anything else out there that might help????? (sorry if this post sounds similiar to luvhair's, but mine is in a specific area)

I too started getting pimples right on my forehaed below my hairline, and it all began when I started wasing my hair myself which has now been a month. I normally went to the the hairdresser to get a wash and set. Although the pimples on my hair line are not really visible, its slowly but surely going away. I am also a light brown complexion and I have a few dark spots on my face, that will not go away. And I never pop my pimples, but when it goes away it always leaves a scar. I guess my skin is really sensitive to hyperpigmentaton. I went back to taking Ultra Evening Primrose oil 1300mg and drinking tons of water, and my skin is looking brighter and clearer, but the dark spots are still there. Right now I have two very small dark spots on my right cheek and on my left cheek I am getting over a pimple and as it is going away, it's obvious that it is a leaving a scar behind.

Have either of you tried Black Opal products? I bought some last week, but I haven't used them yet. They seem to be very promising.
update: I just read in another thread that hydroquinine produces a halo effect. Black Opal contains hydroquinine, so maybe we should not use it.

hey, im starting to get blemishes around my hairline (diagonal to my eyebrows). I think its from wearing bangs. I have been keeping my hair away from my face to see if having hair in my face is the problem. I like having bangs though.

I don't know how old or young you ladies are but don't forget about the big "H"... Hormones. I'm 32 and just started getting pre-menstrual acne and right now, I'm staring at 5 (count 'em) 5 pimples on my forehead and one at my hairline on the side.
Before this, I had never worn my hair on my forehead. In my case, my derm named the cuplprits: hormones at my age, my diet, (I already drink tons of water) and that was pretty much it for me. She gave me bleaching creme and another application for the pimples. I'm now purposly wearing my hair on my forehead to cover it up and everyone is liking my new look. It hides the bumps but I want them gone so I've just got to change my diet, learn to relax more, and embrace the things that come with aging.

I think the amount of oil/grease in your hair might have something to do with it so just make sure your not going long periods of time without washing your hair. Also im no dermatologist but 10% benzoly peroxide seems very harsh. What product are you using if i may ask or is it just straight benzoly peroxide (can you buy that in stores?)
