I'm planning to really eat a healthier diet when I finish the MC. One of my weaknesses is cheese. I like ALL cheese! Do any of you ladies know of any cheese alternatives that actually tast good and are better for me?

I love cheese too:ohwell: If i'm doing low carb, I usually eat light mozzarella string cheese. The only true alternative I guess is laughing cow cheese and its soooooo processed tasting to me. Good but tastes fake.

Mozerella and parmesean (sp?) are good. I normally buy 2% cheese for like sandwiches though, and feta for salads. Not sure if the feta is "good" for you. But I know the first two i listed are supposed to be some of the healthier choices.

So Laughing Cow is fake? It doesn't contain any dairy? I'd love to know. I'd like to know some cheese alternatives too, and unfortunately I can't do the soy versions. (allergic)

Fake cheeses taste well, fake :barf:
When I don't want to use a regular cheese, I make some made from nuts.
I think it tastes good however, I only use cashews.
Rich Cheddar Sauce (http://www.rawfreedomcommunity.info/forum/showpost.php?p=126&postcount=1)
Adapted from "Rejuvenate Your Life" by Serene Allison
1/2 large red bell pepper
¼ c water
1 c raw cashews, sunflower seeds, and/or almonds (I use a mixture of these and soak them overnite)
1 T tahini
2 T nutritional yeast
1 ½ teaspoon sea salt
2 teaspoons onion powder (or a small slice of onion or 1 tbs or so of green onions)
1 clove garlic
2 T lemon juice
Blend until creamy. Add more water if it is too thick.
