I use a tonic by Rosa Graf. I get it through my hair stylist. Along with the Wash, it's worked for me as well if not better than Proactive, because it has Salicylic (sp?) Acid instead and doesn't dry me out.

I use Origins Oil Refinerâ„¢ Skin purifying tonic for oily skin. Here's a little information about the product from their website Origins (http://www.origins.com) :
Big mistake to assume that overzealous washing and surface drying is the answer to oiliness. Sebaceous glands are super sensitive. The absence of oil only prods them to produce more. Skin gets even oilier all over again. Nature's next-generation oil-foilers do more than mop up shine. Phlorogine (from seaweed) sends a swift signal below "enough oil, please stop pumping." Tourmaline and Glucosamine disperse pore-clogging dirt and debris. Salvia clears and cools. And White China Clay leaves a fresh matte finish that lasts for hours.

i'm cheap. i use a hydrosol (distilled floral waters with a few drops of the corresponding essential oils)- i like orange water the best for my dry, sometimes sensitive skin.

Canuck...that sounds great. I used to use rosewater with lavender in it for the sake of using natural products.
What essential oils do you use? Are hydrosols readily available in the UK? I would have to order mine online which is why I haven't done it.
