suede coat with fur collar dilemma

Ladies, I went to an antique mall today (well, vintage stuff for the most part) and I bought a vintage knee-length chocolate brown suede coat with a beautiful wide fur collar ( I think it's coyote). It fits beautifully close to the body and I really like it. But I've been thinking now about fur and all the controversy related to it and I feel bad about it. My husband says it would be foolish not to wear the coat if I really like it.
Any of you own fur of any kind?

I own several coats, and I don't care about any negativity associated with wearing furs or any article of clothing or foot wear that is made from animals. Girl enjoy your coat and be warm this winter. After all most folks that will find fault with your coat are probably just haters.LOL

I been dealing with the same delima. There are a few vintage shops in Philly that have beautiful vintage fur coats. My thinking is Im not supporting the fur industry by buying something that was made 20 years ago.

That's what I'm thinking, I'm not buying today's fur, this is vintage and it looks so good! There was another persian lamb coat that was to die for:rolleyes:, maybe another time.
Where I am temp. can go down to -45 celsius, so this is not for that kind of weather, it is more of a fall/early winter weather, but I love it anyway
