View Full Version : Any recommended carb substitutes?

I have been doing Pilates and stopped eating Spaghetti and Noodles. Now, I almost have a flat stomach, am losing weight, but I am starving. I am often kept awake by hunger. The only meat I like is fish and chicken but I suppose my body really misses the carbs. Yet, because of the exercise, I don't have a taste for carbs and can't really stomach them right now. I am catching a cold so maybe the cold is causing the hunger pains but I think it is the misssing carbs.

Any good carb substitutes?

I found some low carb pasta at a health food store...it has only 7 grams of carbs. It was a little rubbery in comparison to regular pasta, but it was still good. They also had low carb bread, cheesecake mix, etc.

What about fruits and nuts as snacks. You also should be having veggies with every meal. When I do this I am not hungry.

I guess I'll try the health food store. I really think pilates has speeded up my metabolism. I have a high metabolism anyway but I literally get weak in between meals now.
