Ok Ladies,

I just got this Vintage NM suit from Ebay for an Outdoor (under a tent) wedding in October (5th). I don't think we will be in grass (River Park Farm in VA). But I am sort of stumped on accessories, and shoe color. I have a pair of taupe shoes like these in style but a little lighter and but with a pointy toe and 3" spike heel.

NOTE: These aren't the shoes I have but are the same in style/color but my shoe has a skinny heel.

I am open to suggestions but the only thing I don't want is a peep toe/open toe shoe. I don't know my surrondings down there so I would rather keep the shoe closed. As far as jewlery gold? Silver? Both? Neither? Help!!

I think gold or bronze jewelry would look nice.I am not sure about the shoe, but I think a thinner heel would look nicer with this outfit for a wedding. Seems like the thick heel would weigh down the look. JMO

Hopefully the fashionistas will chime in soon.

I would deviate from the color scheme of browns because you have a matching jacket and dress and because it's in a retro-conservative style. Also, you don't want to look like a head to toe glob of brown. I would do a pop of color with the shoes. It doesn't have to match as long as it compliments the jacket/dress. Perhaps a deep garnet shoe? Experiment and see what goes.

With accessories I would do either neckline or earrings since the fabric is somewhat decorative. A pair of really fab earrings with soft styled hair would be very nice. I'd do gold over silver and gemstone enhanced pieces could work really well too.

If you do neutral shoes then I'd do a pop of color with your clutch/purse. I'd also keep any shoes you wear on the high and skinny heeled style.

Thanks for your ideas. I didn't want to do brown shoes either and have folks singing "Doo Doo Brown" when I walked by lol. I do like the idea of a deep garnet. Do you think a shoe in a patent or a skin would be a bit much? Heels are a must! I am looking on Polyvore for color ideas. Now if I could just stop clicking on all the Christian Louboutin pumps I will be good!

Browneyes

I was thinking gold for jewlery as well. I just have to see what I have/like

thanks for your ideas ladies and keep them coming!

By skin, do you mean textured/exotic leather? If so, then yes I think it might be a bit much against the texture and pattern of the outfit. I think a patent leather would be okay as long as the shoe didn't have a lot going on in term of doodads hanging from it.
