How do you do it because I SURE don't. i'm slowly doing things in moderation but check this out;

I went to the snack machine to get one little bitty Snickers bar (I only eat something sweet one time a week).
I paid my little money, pressed E4 and out came 2 Snickers bars!!!! I inhaled the first one but am proud to say I'm not wanting the second one... yet.

How do you all resist. I know about the fruit and stuff that curves sweet tooths but come on sometime that doesn't help me either. /forums/images/graemlins/lick.gif

I simply look at it as something that I must do because no one else can do it for me. I still eat sweets (every now and then). However, I just don't over do it.

ps. Be nice and give the other Snickers away.

I learn to fulfill my craving. The other day, I wanted pizza, I had it, then moved on. I also eat half and immediately throw the other half in the garbage. The easy days for me to stick to anything is Monday through Friday. The hardest day is Saturday. That is the day that I constantly keep myself busy. Walking, staying out of the house (away from the refrigerater), window shopping, etc. Even when I do fill my needs on this day, I have done so much that it doesn't effect me too much by maybe a pound or so.

Nope. No will power here. None whatsoever. They just opened up a Popeye's and a Dominoes in my neighborhood. Fruit does nothing for me now. I have had about eighty biscuits and ten dozen Cinnastix in the week they have been open. There is just no hope for me now. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

So now you see where my will power has gone. It's right between the cole slaw and the biscuits. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Okay see, this thread was to HELP me with will power, not send me down the street to get some biscuits /forums/images/graemlins/lick.gif They are so good. Luckily it's too cold to go out now so I'll just chill... maybe ride my bike.

THANKS A LOT Honeyrockette /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

pmichael,

Try eating lots of berries, increase protein a bit which will help with your appetite. I like to eat protein/replacement bars. Zone bars are really tasty (Strawberry and the peanut one are my favorites)

Try to get a full breakfast too, that way you are less likely to pig out on something unnecessary, include grapefruit. Include some flax in some form. Eat an apple in between times. Your are doing great for eating junk once a week. Put a pic up of someone that resembles you physically and nice and fit on your fridge and any time you see that pic, yu will only eat the healthy stuff.

P.S. Psych yourself out too..when you see cake or McDonald's or something, say "Yuck! All those calories and my teeth will rot..eeeuuuwweee yuck!"

I can't resist. It's all about moderation. Have one bar instead of two. Don't ever buy chocolate boxes unless it's for a party. Never eat more than two slices of pizza......no matter what size.

I'm with Hairfanatic. I usually indulge in my sweet tooth but only eat half and throw the rest away. When I see myslef diving for things that aren't good for me, it usually occurs when I'm REALLY hungry, so I try to eat often throughout the day so that I don't feel that "desperate" hunger.
