Hey girls, I have a skin crisis
My skin was okay up until a week ago. I use the oil cleanse method but I haven't seen great improvement in my skin. I don't have any pimples or blemishes. But when you look up close you see hyprpigmntation and some type of irritation. I decided to use Kiss my face peaces and cream AHA lotion. I also started using sunscreen in the morning. My skin was fine until I was working outside and sweating like crazy. I was dabbing the sweat but did not have time to completely wash my face. That night my face went crazy. It is like an allergic reaction on my face. It clamed down slighly but face is rough with all these tiny bumps! In this process I also realized I have eczema on my face:ohwell: I was born with a serious eczema problem that had faded as I have gotten older. I wasn't addressing this (its on my cheeks and it doesn't itch so I didn't know what it was) and I guess my recent change in routine aggravated the eczema. I think I also have a slight reaction to the peaches in the AHA stuff??? (I have allergies to pollen that gets into certain fruits at times)
My main question is what do I do right now??? I stopped using the Kiss my Face stuff and have been really gentle with my skin for the past two days but the inflammation is still there!
When I get this inflammation down I hope to start addressing the eczema and hyperpigmentation but for now I really want this to go away.
Thanks for any help!!!!

Her there...I'm sorry that this is happening...did you use a sunscreen after the AHA cleanser? It's vital that you use a sunscreen with AHA's because it makes you much more vulnerable to the sun. I actually increased my SPF from 15 to 30 after starting a regimen with AHA's.
I also discontinued the OCM in favor of something more cohesive with AHA use.
I suggest that you discontinue use of the product with the AHA. Find a gentle soap free cleanser and use a moisturizer with sunscreen until your face gets back to normal. In this case less is probably more.

Try lightly applying some A&D ointment to the area. You should see improvement within 2-3 days.
After that go back to your usual routine, minus the AHA product. Try Ambi to improve your skin tone.

I dunno. So many things involved here it's hard to know what's to blame. I'd go to your dermatologist to get direction and at least figure out whether what you have is a reaction to something you used or your eczema. Now when my skin is ailing I prefer to avoid all possible side-effects, so if I were you I'd use coconut oil to soothe and moisturize. Have you considered washing your face w/ just plain water? I do this often, when I don't do the OCM. Just let my shower filter spray water on my face while I clean with a flannel. I also make sure to use each face cloth just once then it's ready for a wash. And when I wash my cloths, I don't wash them with other clothes. They go into the wash alone with a little bleach on the sanitary cycle. Dry your face with paper towels so you're using a fresh, clean drying "cloth" instead of the same towel you use for your body, or one that's been collecting dust on the rack.

.
I use sunscreen spf30. But I stopped the AHA and have kept using the SPF 30. I use Clinique cleanser in the mornings so I will use that at night as well until this clears up

You should be able to find that at your local drug store. Hope this situation clears up soon.

whats A&D ointment??
ITA the it's an ointment with vitamins A&D in it. Very good for the skin, and should help "normalize" your skin soon.
Look in the Diaper Rash (baby) section.

What type of reaction do you get when you eat fruits with pollen?

What type of reaction do you get when you eat fruits with pollen?
Since I have allergies to pollen sometimes fruits (the skin) rubs against the pollen and then I get a reaction when I eat it...I don't know I have a weird reaction. Sometimes I eat a peach and my throat starts to itch. But I didn't think that would be an issue with fruit extract:nono:
I'm going to CVS now to get some A&D...don't have anything to loose. No one has said anything but if they get close to me they must see the turmoil my skin is in...

I was going to suggest A&D and also Aquaphor. I hope you get it under control. :snuggle:

I went and got some A&D just now. My plan is to use Clinique cleanser morning and night (I will use I steam towel at night, that seems to help). I will apply the A&D before I go to bed at night. In the morning I will apply sunscreen
pray that this works!!! When this is resolved I will give my skin a rest before trying to tackle whatever eczema or hyperpigmentation problem I have. I will start taking flaxseed oil since I read that works
thats for all the help ladies!!!!! You always come though. If there are any other tips I would love o hear them

I slathered on the A&D last night and my skin looks a quarter better today. This is gonna take a while:ohwell:
In the morning I put on sunscreen...waited a little while then put on a small amount on A&D, then put on a bit of moisturizer to smooth everything up. With some power it doesn't look horrible
I am really puzzled...my face has never done thing before. I am just praying it gets better

I get that too, but when I do, it's a heat rash- I get them atleast once a summer. If you were hot and sweating like crazy, that could be what it is- A&D is great for heat rashes :yep:

My son had a HUGE rash like what you described. Small little bumps all over his face and I used Hydrocortisone cream and it went away in like 2 days. Not a sign that it was ever there.

Yeah, you should be okay with the A&D and that'll also stop itching if you're having any... I'd like to scratch my face/neck off when I have a heat rash :nono: I would also discontinue using anything else but the ointment. That way, you're agressivly treating it and not using anything else that could possibly aggrevate the area.

I just followed up on this post.
I do hope you've continued to see results, and I'm glad the A&D worked.
Also, A&D overnight treatments are good for the skin; esp: your feet with white socks
**** I love products that I can get multiple uses out of. (so I had to share this tip too)
