Hello,
Are people still doing the baking soda mixture? What are your results and how long did it take to see results?

I don't know what the "mixture" is, but I tried using baking soda as a scrub and my face felt horrible and raw. Never again. I have concluded that BS is the debil. :lachen: When I tried it on my hair, I got a scare too. :nono:

I'm so sorry that happened to you Nonie! Not everything is for everybody and you won't know how it acts until you try it. My mixture is baking soda and evoo for my face, and it works great. I only do this once a week however, if you have sensitive skin it might be too harsh for you, but everybody's skin is different. I've been doing it for about a month now and my skin is getting clearer, dark spots are fading. I've been meaning to try it with lemon juice for my elbows and knees and see how that works.
I tried the baking soda and water for my hair, and it was awful, terrible tangles and knots, never again, and I didn't use a lot either. So I know now, on my hair, it is the debil!

Yea I tried it on my face and I didn't really care for it. I guess it's not for everyone or it depends on how much you are using and how often. I prefer it in my hair.
But i'm probably the minority when it comes to this.
I have heard good stories about it though.

For the ladies who use baking soda, how much are u mixing into your mixtures?

I mix half baking soda and half sea salt. Then I pour some to fill up about half of the palm of my head, and rub in on my already damp face. Then I leave it on for about 5 mins
I don't have a mixture; but I LOVE Baking Soda. I have sensitive skin too.
I use it everywhere.

When I use baking soda on my face:
I wet my face, put a squirt of my regular cleanser in the palm of my hand and sprinkle a little baking soda on top. Then I wipe/light scrub mixture over my face using 2 or 3 fingers and rinse.
ETA--The results are an exfoliated face with softer skin.

I love baking soda.:woot: I use it every other day with either Philosophy's Purity or black soap. A little goes a long way with both cleansers, so I put a dab in my palm and sprinkle the baking soda on top. Then I massage in my face. Try not to leave it on to long because it will start to burn. Once I rinse it off my skin glows and is so clean. Oh yeah, normally I have already washed my face so I use the baking soda on already cleaned skin.
Breakouts have been minimal.:yay: My complexion is fairly even. I see a difference when I don't use it in my regime. I tried it on my body, but I guess my body needs something stronger because I felt no different. Oh well.

I've been using a mixture of baking soda and sea salt 2-3 times per week on my legs, arms, upper back, underarms, feet and butt. I've noticed a little difference on the marks on my legs and a good difference on my underarms.
Since I do Lactic acid peels and TCA peels (just did one) on my face, I am scared to do the baking soda/sea salt scrub on my face. I just mix a handful of baking soda to my face soap (purity made simple). Adding that step to my routine has helped with horrible breakouts. My face and body is smooth thanks to my scrubs.

I pour about a quarter teaspoon baking soda in my palm, mix it with some EVOO, gently massage, and wash off using a cleanser. Smooth, clean skin. I do this once a week. This combined with OCM has made my skin look so good.

Thanks ladies! I am going to the gym tomorrow to get in the steam room. I would like to try the baking soda w/ water mixture after the black soap. Ok I will be real, these are my intentions. I have to make myself go to the gym with the steam room. I know that it is excellent for skin and hair. I am also relaxed after too. Question is anyone taking prescribed topical medicine while doing this?
