This lady with the most gorgeous skin told me her regimen was

[Je Ne Sais Quoi]

swabbing a alcohol soaked cotton ball on her face and neck 1x a month. After that she makes sure to moisturize her face. In between that time just normal washings with gentle cleansers.

I am sure this lady was like in her 60's or something, but when I tell you this sistah's skin was all one color, smooth as silk and just plain beautiful, you couldn't tell her age by looking at her skin.

Has anyone ever tried cleansing with alcohol? I am going to give this a try over the next few months.

My grandmother has beautiful skin just like that and all she use is "Plain Dove Soap". I wish my skin would let me do that.

I'm not doubting this lady's obvious nice skin, but it sounds to me that it's more of an issue of being blessed with good genetics vs. a "regimen". Alcohol is an astringent, so nothing special and using it once a month is just nothing more than removing a little extra dirt from your face, once a month and using gently cleansers and moisturizers is hardly anything new, millions of folks to that everyday. Again, I'm sure she looks nice, but this is hardly anything special or over and above what most people are doing. I guarantee you that 20 people could do this and have varying results based upon their skin type. Again, not being nasty or negative, but again....this is nothing special outside of just taking good care of your skin as well all should.

I think it really depends on your skin type. For someone with very oily skin doing that would strip down the natural oils and cause more secretion.

Some people are just blessed with good skin. My mom has used nothing but vaseline on her skin doesn't have any skin issues, and her skin in her mid 70's is perfect. Me on the other hand, I've battled with skin issues off and on all my life, and I've tried a lot of regimes and just get okay-looking skin.

I have always done my face and neck with alcohol at least once a week. My kids to it too and we have very nice CLEAN skin. Alcohol cleans the skin extremely well.
