I don't really know squat about makeup but my little sister (16) wears A LOT of it. Somewhere along the line she picked up some bad habits--she cakes it on, she wears the wrong shades for her skin tone and I don't think she is cleansing properly. I think she learned from some "other" friends and I tried to explain that we don't do it like they do it. I don't think I'm going to convince her to stop wearing it, so I want to lead her in the right direction.

Does anyone have any tips? What are your favorite product? My best ideas so far are to go to MAC and/or Bare Minerals so they can give her tips. She really has beautiful skin and I would hate to see her mess it up with cheap products and improper use.

Thanks!

I actually prefer Bobbi Brown. Have her go to a counter and ask for a makeover. MAC is fine also, but BB gives a more natural looking makeover, IMO.

Get her a decent skin regimen from a counter or the drugstore. Have her go to prescriptives or bobbi brown for foundation/powder and to MAC for eyeshadow colors. Also consider Urban Decay pallets for color. She's young so she might as well have fun with the eye colors.
