Who still wears them and what color? A lot of my lady friends wear contacts when we go out to give and extra pop to their look, I wonder do ppl still wear them?

I had some gray ones about 2 years ago, and after I got rid of them all, I stopped using colored contacts. I used to love them in high school, but they don't fit me so well anymore now that I've gotten older.

I do.. I am in the process of "re-inventing" myself and this was one of the upgrades. It really gives me that pop I was looking for. (Hazel)

I just got my eye exam done on Saturday and they asked me if I wanted colored contacts, I thought about it but then realized that I don't see too many people with them anymore so I passed. I might go back and get some in the future though.

I wear Freshlook gray. It does give my eyes a pop especially when I put my make up on. Since I am darker complexion I love the contrast.

I used to wear colored contacts (for a minute...) years ago in my younger days. I stopped because I started to "not like myself" as much without them!! :look: And I kinda felt like a fraud when people would comment on my beautiful eyes. :ohwell:

Anyway there's a woman at my job who's in her late 40's maybe early 50's and she wears them daily. I don't know... this just seems so young to me...

Colored contacts seems to passe to me, it's like wearing kango hats or something.

I've been wearing my Freshlooks in Grey for about 6 years. I wear them daily when I have my refills. I'm out so I'm in my glasses for the while.

I've considered them at one point. I even did one of those things where they take a pic of you and show you what your eyes would look like. I always thought Hazel would match me more since my eyes are the lighter side of brown, but it turned out oddly enough that blue looked the prettiest. But I just couldnt see myself wearing blue contacts. Now, I wouldnt consider them all all. I agree with the poster who compared it to wearing a kangol, lol...

I use to wear them when I was 15 up to 17 yrs old and once when I was 21...and I was getting toooooooo much attention. Don't get me wrong I love compliments HOWEVER if its not mine im like ughhh. Its like getting compliments on your hair while your wearing a wig :S I prefer to get compliments on MY assets . I still get a loooot of compliments on my eyes w/o contacts . I just dont have or see the use now because now if I want to have a different look using eyeshadow is sufficient . Simplicity for me is always best although my moms thinks im NOT simple..lol

ditto...I tried out a pair once for fun when I was younger...I've never been interested in them after that...

I'd love to try them, but I've always been leery about putting something in my eye... I disagree that it's a young thing. More people wear colored contacts than you'd think, in a range of all ages. If you get the really good ones most people can't tell they're contacts anyway. I know you can buy those cheap ones without a prescription, though that don't look as realistic.

I wear them, my contacts are actually prescription, I got colored contact back in Highschool and I've never gotten around to changing them back to clear, but lots of people think they are my real eye colour. I'll change them one day, just not today =)

I personally hate contacts. I've never worn them but had really good friends who did. I'm pretty sure that I can detect them even the "freshlook". I'm not knocking people who like/love them, they are just not for me.
I also especially loathe them on men and would never date a guy who I suspected was wearing them.

I've never tried them. My baby sister wears them. She has grey, hazel and green. It's really big again in the school around here. I don't know anyone in my age range (black or white) that wears them.

When I was younger, I tried them and it was a disaster. My eyelids are very tight and I couldn't get them in my eye...when I finally got them in, I couldn't see (I don't wear prescription glasses) ...my vision was blurry...I even got a fever.

That was a mess. :lachen:
