HI
Can you be a lil more specific for those of us who don't know? What is BFL and what does it entail?

Dang girl you are right on time. I planned on starting tomorrow after reading Bill's brothers book "Absolution". I was going to do it on the dl but yeah I am down.
Explosiva9 you can find info here at www.bodyforlife.com It is a 6 day a week for 12 weeks workout program. You alternate with upper body, lower body and high intensity cardio. The eating plan is fairly simple as well. You eat 6 meals a day each with a protein and a carb. HTH Q

I would love to start. I have a gym membership now and can get the workouts in. I don't know about starting tomorrow though. And I usually combine my eating with WW and the B4L workouts. I need to get into some better shape.

Now Que you know you don't need to do it on the dl. Let's stick together and support each other doing the next 12 weeks. I know we can do it. I am a believer. Imagine how good we are going to look. I am determined. I got up at 5am and completed my upper body workout. I grilled my chicken breasts and washed my salad greens. I also joined bodyforlifetrackers.com which has been really great for support.

Scarlett start whenever you like. I just had to do it today or I would have never started again. I read BFL champions and joined bodyforlife trackers and the transformation and support over there is phenomenal. Let's us know when you start so we can lend support. I normally use a lower carb diet myself since I am diabetic. Use whatever diet that works for you.

Hmmm...I may start another BFL challenge. Not sure as of yet. For some reason I can't find all of the paperwork(schedule, exercises, etc.) I had for it in order to track what I was doing. If I decide to start, I may do it this evening starting with upper body or wait until next Monday. We'll see. I just haven't had much motivation lately.

Well it just seemed like whenever one was started on here, nobody (myself) included really was consistent with checking in. So I was just going to use the blog feature here to keep track of my progress. I think this will be my last one and will get me where I need to be. I will just continue to workout to stay healthy and to maintain. I am really excited about the Absolution workouts as well. It is a great compliment to BFL and you should check it out as well. I have to do some shopping today but I have some cooked chicken breasts, veggies and shakes so I am good for right now. I think I have a log in to bfltrackers so I need to check and go over there as well. Take care. Q

Yes his brother wrote the book. I love it because it flows really well with BFL but focuses more on abs. Q

I am having a hard time understanding the exercise program. The intensity and reps for me are making no sense. But then again, I haven't read the book. I'm just doing research online and it isn't making sense. Can someone please break it down for me?

Okay by the time you get to intensity level of 10 those reps should be really hard. You are also doing 2 different exercises. For instance for the chest, you can do the bench press for reps 12, 10, 8, and 6. The next set of 12 will be the same exercise. You don't rest and do another chest exercise for 12. Then you are done with the chest. HTH Q

When should I get to that intensity level? Should I be reaching that level on my first workout? What constitutes a level ten?
Am I picking just 2 exercises each time for each section? Like everytime I go to the gym, am I just doing just two exercises for the chest? I don't understand what you mean I'm just doing 2. Two from each uppser body section? Like two bicep, two triceps, etc?
Maybe I should read the book before even attempting this.....

Thanks Q for helping explosiva. I went to my bible study class and just got back a little while ago. I have a withdrawal headache from not eating sweets but I am going to post my exercises tommorrow. Wishing everyone success and the best of health.
Q now I am going to have to get Absolution. I am a bookworm anyway.

No problem. I changed the order for this week because of my spa day on Wednesday. I will be doing my BFL weight workouts on Tue, Th, and Sat. My cardio and absolution(starting Wednesday) on M, W, and F. Q
