View Full Version : When Hunger Feels A Little Good...

I've been working on improving my health, and part of that has been controlling my portions. I am guilty of occasionally using food as a coping mechanism, but more often, I would eat to "finish my plate" even if I were still hungry.

Lately, I've been controlling my food portions because although my diet is fairly balanced and wholesome, I can sometimes have too much of a good thing. I've been waiting until I'm ACTUALLY hungry to eat. Today and yesterday, I've pushed myself just to see how long I can go without eating, and I don't know if it is the caffeine or the lack of food, but I'm a little jittery, but oddly clear and focused. I'm not even hungry any more.

Has anyone experienced this? What are your thoughts?

When I eat less food and keep the food I eat healthy I become more clear and focused.

Many people report feeling clear and focused on the master cleanse.

Maybe this is an evolutionary trait i.e. sharper senses to go out and find some food:look:

I completely agree!

I'm learning to push back on the portions. When I stick to having yogurt, protein shake, piece of fruit protein shake/smoothie, etc. as a meal, then I do well.

I notice that I gain weight when I eat big meals several times a day.
ACV & Honey has also helped alot.

Thanks for your replies. Do you find that your body gets used to the new amount of intake after a while? Although it is alright sometimes, I'd rather not feel light-headed frequently if this is going to become a new lifestyle.
