Ladies,
I'm sure you see a lot of women who work out on a regular, but are still very shapely. My routine consists of a lot of cardio and some weights as my goal is drop 20 lbs. How can I loose the weight w/o loosing my behind?

Good question. Mine disappears whenever I start a serious workout.
Now that I am getting older it doesn't even come back when I gain weight. The new weight goes to my stomach. I hope some women chime in soon. Subscribing.

You can't control where your lose body fat from. What you can do to combat losing your butt is build muscle back there. Your butt probably will get smaller, but you can definitely still give it some shape.
There's a two-pronged approach to building a shapely booty. First, you've got to target the meat of the glutes with squats and lunges. The more weight you lift, the more muscle you will build. Second, you've gotta target the hamstrings (particularly where the glutes and hamstrings meet). This will give your butt the necessary lift. Exercises like leg press on a high step, rollouts, and bridges on a ball work amazingly well to accomplish this. If you workout at home, I recommend investing in some of Cathe Freidrich's lower body workouts. She's AMAZING when it comes to targeting the glutes from every angle. She'll have that booty popping in no time. Now you'll be in pain when you work out with her, but your rearview will be well worth the inability to walk for a few days.
