I've gotten 2 of these, they are vitamin b12 and they are used to speed up metabolism, fat burning, etc...they give a boost of energy and are suggested to rcv them weekly...

Where can I get them? Are there any side effects?

I need to talk to my doctor about these. I'm actually b12 deficient and if I miss my morning sublingual I'm dog tired all day.

Okay, so I got the shot on Wednesday while at my diet doctor's office- they offer them. I didn't know if they were a waste or not. I can say that I do feel energetic. Usually after work, I'm T-I-R-E-D... but not since I got the shot. My diet pills also give me a bit of energy too. I was sitting at my desk at work yesterday and I just felt like going for a run, seriously. If I'd had my sneakers with me, I would have went into the gym at my job and got on the tredmill. I got up and took a walk instead. The only side effect that I felt was that it still hurts where they shot me in my upper arm, it's painful when I touch it.... so I don't touch it  I'll be back for another shot very soon. :yep:

i had several friends that have gotten those shots and they all lost weight quickly, but all of them gained the weight back and them some because they were just getting those shots and not eating right.

I just made an appt for Monday. I was deficient before I started the raw food thing and meat is really the only way to get b12. :(
Hairapy how often do you get the shots? I'm secretly hoping you say once/month. :perplexed

I'm working with my doctor to get it off and keep it off. I've cut out a lot of stuff that I don't need to be eating and drinking. :yep:

You can get them once a month. Usually, from what I understand, people get them about every 2 weeks. Some people even get them every week. I think I'll do every 2 weeks- IF this works out well for me during these next 2 weeks. I feel fine so far. My doctor told me that the effects last about 1 1/2 week. But you can do it on an as needed basis.

If the effects can last about 2 weeks, how do you sleep? It sounds like speed.

I had a fatigue problem from lack of B12 when I first became a veggie. I learned from a vegan about nutritional yeast. Instead of the vitamins I use nutritional yeast almost daily.
It has a nutty and almost cheesy taste. It's really good and easy to sprinkle on everything. I think 2Tb has over 100% of your recommended B12. You can heat it and make cheese sauces and things, but then it will loose some of it's nutrition.

My cousin got one and she lost a TON OF WEIGHT. Seriously, she looks like a different person. She went from a 14 to a 6. Of course she changed her diet, but I don't think she exercised.

I honestly don't know how it works. I can sleep though, but during the day, I have energy. Not jittery energy though. When I didn't get an answer on here, I asked women that were at the office at the same time I was (also patients) and they highly recommended it, so i figured I'd try it.

I can't wait to get the same results!! I've changed my diet and am exercising too :yep: You said your cousin got one, but do you mean that she was getting shots plural? How long did it take her to get from a 14 to a 6?

I got just one shot but after the pain, I decided not to go back . I don't think I can handle them weekly/bi-weekly.

Wow, the area where they shot you hurts you too?? You know what though... if it works, I'll just have to get used to the pain... hopefully, I won't be doing it for long. How did you feel after the shot? Did you see or feel a difference?

I felt a boost of energy afterwards, so it does work. But it was like getting a tetanus shot, it was sore in that area for several days. I really need to try it again, but I'm such a big baby

Yes. They say its for more energy and weight loss. All it did for me is make my urine smell of strong vitamins. :nono:

I think you gotta be lacking b12 in order to experience the energy/metabolic boost. You must be already getting a good dose.
