I LOVE mascara

I'm a mascare junkie. My favs are Zoom lash by Mac, Definicils and Hypnose by lancome. Lancome used to sell Intencils which I literally ran out and stocked up on when I heard they were discontinuing it:nono::nono:

I also LOVE the old school pink and green by maybeline. I was stopped at the airport by a girl asking about my mascara and when I said "pink and green" she was like really? I said yep:yep::yep:

Ohhh, that sounds fun! Thanks for the heads up.

I'm a Mascara junkie, too. I recently discovered Shiseido's Mascara Base and I'm in love because it makes just about any mascara work well for me. I love that stuff.

To my surprise, I'm really liking the new Maybelline mascara, Colossal Volum' Express. An eyelash curler, Shiseido's mascara base and Maybelline make for great results.

But trying different Mascara is fun! They had a BOGO at CVS for Lash Blast a couple of weeks ago. I have two unopened packages of it now because I couldn't pass it up. I'll try it when I run out of what is already open.

I had a sample of Lancome Hypnose and I loved it. I wonder why I never purchased the full size? LOL I just purchased the pink and green one by Maybelline yesterday since it was BOGO free at CVS. I used it this morning and I like it. I still think I am going to get this Lash Stash though

That's one thing that I need to get into. I purhased one from Victoria's Secret because I needed to use a gift card and I think I like it. I should try some other primers.

I can see why. I like it, but I still want more! LOL

No problem!

Some mascaras come with the mascara and a base all in one...like Maybelline XXL mascara. That's also a fav of mine.

Yeah, that's cool. I'm going to give that a try. I'm stuck on my Shiseido right now, but I'm def going to try something like that in the future.

Likewise, I need to try something other than a drugstore brand. Do they sell Sheseido at Ulta or Sephora? I also wanted to try Diorshow.

I forgot all about that one. I that was the first primer I ever used for my lashes. I could not get the hang of it. I gave up on using the primer and just used the mascara. I am better now though.

This is also on my list to try. I felt bad because I never hear anyone mention how much they like to test and try mascaras. Now I see I am not alone! Yay!

Yeah it's a little initimidating at first. When I first put it on, I was like YUCK! It looked gross. I think the trick is allowing it to dry for a few seconds before applying the color over it.

Amazon has a trial size for like $13. Not a bad investment...better than paying $25 for a big tube.

The definitely sell Diorshow at Sephora. I don't think they sell Shiseido there though. I really only see them at department stores. But I could be wrong.

I don't know what your situation is as far as $$$. Cost might not be a factor for you at all. So disregard this if that's the case. But the thing about mascara is that you have to buy/replace it every three months. Or at least, you are supposed to. If drugstore brands work for you that's so much better because the cost can get ridiculous otherwise. The Shiseido mascara base is $22. I think Diorshow is like $28 or something around there. I don't get my hair done at a salon or get manicures or buy lots of shoes, etc. So I justify it. But otherwise, I'd be way more hesitant.

That's how I felt about mascara base/primer, too. Not when I used it, but just when I saw what it looked like on the brush. I thought something was wrong with it. It really looked kind of gross.

I find that NOT letting it dry before putting on mascara works much better. That's funny. But I think different brands of bases/primers have different "tricks" to using them.

Thanks for pointing that out...it's certainly something to consider. I just recently stopped getting silk wraps on my nails in favor of regular manicures so the money i'm saving would help out with the cost. I'll probably get the trial sized diorshow to see if i like it enough to continue buying it regularly.

Good deal, I wish they would get about 15 different sample brands and let theconsumer pick their own samples.

I would be in Mascara Heaven.

Has anyone seen the new maybelline in the yellow container I think it's called colossial its suppose to increase volume x9. I am feening for it, I just can't justify it since I just spent $25.00 on some.

I think I hear Mary sing
"get the best out of life,
treat yourself to something new" :nono::drunk::perplexed:ohwell:
