View Full Version : Sever Left Atrium Enlargement.. has anyone ever had something like this before?
Two days ago.. I decided to go to the doctors office. I was dealing with chest pains..exhaustion. A quick simple checkup and I told the doctor my symptoms he opened my file. And there I saw an exam I took last year when I was in the hospital for anemia. It said severe left atrium enlargement.
So far I've done research. Surprising they dont give very good information.
But I didnt start feeling this pain more until I gained more and more weight.
I'm currently 5 feet tall. probably weight around 154lbs.
I'm kinda scared but. I'm not sure what to think till I take more tests.
Has anyone ever been through something like this or something similar.
Its sad.. now..ever since I found out about this.. my chest aches more than usual..
I know I need to drop the weight fast..any suggestions?

I am sorry to hear about this and big hugs to you my dear:bighug:
I have not heard of this and pray that you get through this. I would recommend talking with your doctor about a beginning exercise regime to ensure you can create a program that will work for you. Certainly walking will get you started and is a good way to ease into a new regime.
All the best to you!:yep:

Consider taking Christopher's Hawthorn Berry Syrup- very nutritive for the heart.
as far as losing weight. I have stumbled upon a protocol of supplements that have really tamed sugar cravings for me. Check my blog or PM me if interested.

I'm sorry to hear this. I have a family member with this. Do you have blockages anywhere in your heart? Do you have hypertension? I would ask for some more advanced tests to check out your mitral valve as well.
If your doctor is not taking the situation seriously, find a new doc immediately. You should also talk to a cardiologist about going on a medically-supervised weight loss program so you can lose weight safely and very quickly. Duke Univ. has an world-renowned program. http://www.dukehealth.org/Services/DietAndFitness/index
On a positive note, aren't our bodies great? Your heart is trying to take care of you and accommodate the changes in your body. The great thing is that when we begin to love and value the wonder that is our creation, we can undo the damage. You can and will get better.:yep:

Get your tail to a CARDIOLOGIST immediately girly.. and by the way... please do not start exercising like crazy to lose the weight until you have been cleared by the CARDIOLOGIST, your heart may not like that!
As far as diet.. I would recommend raw foods to drop the weight fast if you truly are worried. pm me if you like. I treat left heart disease in animals regularly. Praying for you!!! :)

it could be pulmonary. ( lungs) ... or hypertension. Theres really a number of things it could be. I'm not a doctor...but will soon be a registered cardiac sonographer. They should probably do an updated ultrasound. Like someone else said. Don't go crazy exercising just yet until you see a cardiologist.
*smiles softly*
thank you for your kind words and wisdom
... My goal for this week.. is to take all the necessary blood tests and see the cardiologist before the week is through.
I remeber when I first decided to drop the weight in march... I felt alot better by the 2nd week until I fell off the boat and regained all the weight i loss. which was maybe like 4lbs.
So for now, I'll do simple aerobics before I get the results. back from all the tests. And changing my diet.. to cut out all the "white" stuff.
