I just started working out again after a LONG TIME.... four days later and my legs are still sore...but I'm not giving up!

Please help me figure out how to use the sauna and/or steam room in my workout/exercise regimen....

Should I use one or the other before or after working out?

I do water aerobics and will do treadmill and some weight machines/free weights.

My hair is not an issue right now as it is fully natural and it is in micros....

Thanks in advance....

I prefer to workout and then steam. I do my stretching in my gym's steam room and leave feeling very refreshed and happy. Steaming also makes you extremely tired (because of the toxin release) so I drive home and go right to bed:sleeping:.

I also have a personal steam cabin (aromastea (http://aromasteamserene.com/index.html)m) at home that I use after my workout, this also makes me tired and seems to ease my muscles. Steam does wonders for your skin and hair so I prefer it over the dry sauna.

Here is a great article that I found that supports my points above:
