has anyone tried these? there are some weight loss clinics here that offer it. you do have to follow a really low calorie diet, but it helps reset your metabolism. it supposed to make your body burn fat anywhere you have excess fat. i talked to a lady today who went thru the program & lost 27lbs in 6 weeks. she lost her "top belly" & her back fat too. she did this 6 months ago, & hasn't gained any back or have any side affects. she even got her daughter on the program too

anyone else used it or know someone who did?

I thought HGH was like a steroid?...like the illegal stuff that bodybuilders use. I think that's why sly stallone and the governators heads are so big. I do think it will make your dome expand if you use it too much. I don't know though....I remember there being a big steroid bust in Atlanta a few weeks back, and I thought HGH was one of them....I could be very well wrong though, I wasn't paying full attention.

The results sound amazing though....lemme google it!

She is talking about human chorionic gonadotropin (pregnancy hormone) not human growth hormones. Both increase your metabolism but have very different side effects.

nah, it is human gonadotropin. It is made from pregnant women's urine. I've heard that it works, but it is really expensive and can be dangerous. Something about it doesn't seem right to me.

I heard about it on a talk show, but if you only eat 500 calories aren't you gonna loose weight anyway? :spinning:

yes, but it will take you a while. when you only eat a very small amount of calories, your body goes into starvation mode. it slows your metabolism down dramaticlly because it's not getting enough calories to function. it really takes a long time for someone to starve, because your body is designed to adjust in instances whaere the calorie intake is really low. i know when you diet by just reducing your calories, you should eat 5-6 small meals versus 3 large ones in order to keep your metabolism from slowing down from the calorie reduction.

but anyway, i'm going today for a free consultation to see what it's all about. i'll report my findings. i'm kinda excited to see how it works. i do know that the amount of the hormone they use is miniscule, not a large amount at all, & it helps reset your metabolism. i know Kevin Troudeau talked about this in his book, but i don't put much stock by him. what really intrigued me was talking to someone who had actually done it.

wish me luck!

Yeah the people on the talk show swore by it. There was the founder of the program and then a regular doctor who said it was a fad.

Definitely keep us posted.

Good luck, please keep us posted. I found all of these websites but none of them had the same information....it was all very conflicting and confusing, so I'm glad you reported back with your consultation information. Now, please be careful with that dome size girl....one of the things I read did say that your jawbone will increase in size if you get too much of that stuff. I don't want you looking like the terminator in the face and beyonce (slim version) in the body.

It works. It makes your body work twice as hard as if you are pregnant. And some doctors says it is illegal and others do so. I took the b12 and lipo shot, they also give a Rx for some pills which I didn't take. I didn't loose much weight but others have lost a lot of weight and it is very expensive like $50 - $75.00 a week. Stick to diet and exercise you'll look and feel much better.

When Wan-yay (forgot how to spell his name) from Boyz to Men was on Wendy Williams show last week he had lost a lot of weight and she asked him how, he said Dr. Garcia at Medi-zone.

Me being a sucker for quick weight loss immediately got on line to check it out and it was this diet with the hcg shots and the 500 calories. Thankfully it's not in my area cause I would have went.

No more quick weight loss for me. Been there done that . I'm sticking to tried and true Weight Watchers for once, but I do understand wanting the quick fix.

Let us know how you make out.

Hello everyone, I just want to put my 2cents in. When I first heard about it the HCG Protocol I was very skeptical as well. I decided to try it as I had tried everything else. I did extensive research and reading and found that it is safe and does not harm the body. There is a lot of misinformation out there from uninformed people. I don't do the injections but I do sublingual twice a day at home and they are just as effective. Since being on this protocol and I am losing weight very nicely and no longer on any medications. I would highly recommend it especially if you want to lose belly fat. If you do a Yahoo search there are several HCG discussion groups going on. Just see for yourself talk to others on the forums and ask questions become informed. You won't be sorry. I wish someone had told me about this 100 lbs earlier. :{

Sounds good, congrats on your success.

I just came in to say that this diet will be on the M&J show on Monday 8/25/08 if you want to check it out.

Where did you get the sublingual form? I used HCG in 2005-2006 and lost 70 lbs.

Congratulations Natasha on your weight loss of 70 lbs with HCG! I ordered mine from a list of other companies that offer HCG. I don't know if I can give out the web site on this forum. But, on the yahoo forums it is the one most people used. Initials are D.D.

Did you do the injections or sublingual?
Hope this helps.

Ms DeeVee,
Thank you for your support.
This will be a M&J rerun of the HCG and I saw that when it first aired. The problem with with that in my opinion was there was not enough time given to really educate listeners about the benefits of this protocol. I felt that those that was against it didn't let the other side really speak freely about it. I felt they were trying to scare people or cause doubt in people minds. If I didn't know any better i would have left from listening to the show not ever wanting to try it. But since I have been using it with great results I know better. This is the best thing I have ever used to help get my weight under control safely and quickly. I feel so much better!

Let me know what you think about it after watching the show.

the only time i want hcg running thru my system is when it should be there - when i am pregnant. thank you very much, i'll keep eating my healthy mostly raw food diet.

edited to say:
i've done quick diets before, i've lost loads of weight, by using things to enhance my metabolism, but never have i felt so wonerful during the process as i do now, with just eating pure wholesome, nutrient dense, calorie low foods. no kidding - i probably eat less than 800 calories on an average day, but my body has not gone into starvation mode and i have an unbelievable amount of energy. another observation - my face does not look as though some one sucked the wind out of it either(this can happen when you lose allot of weight fast - i looked like pillsbury dough girl). oh and i eventually gained every last pound, and some back, becaues i had not made the changes that would give me a different long term(key word) result. my skin looks clean clear and radiant. literally strangers are asking me what i am doing. - just food for thought. cuz it sounds as though you will have to change your diet anyway, drastically to make this work. 500 calories does not sound like much. good luck with what ever you end up doing
just my 2 1/2 cents:yep:

Ok, I sure will. I know how you feel though because I lost 50lbs on a diet that was on the M&J show, that caused a lot of controversy (Kimkins).

It was not a good diet but I did lose that weight quickly and now I'm up 30lbs already so I re -joined WW.

I believe that everyone has to find what works best for them. I have known people to lose weight quickly and unconventionally and have kept it off for years and I know others that have lost over 100lbs on WW and they've gained all that back. So , I will never knock anyone's diet.

I just can't do shots .
