I'd like 2 try a drinking game with u all. When u c the word water u must take a sip. I know I don't drink enough water. So I hope this can help all of us. When I Say Water, U Say Drink. Drink Water, Water Drink. This can be placed on any thread. When u c that word water, take a sip(cheers). I didn't think of this myself, but what the hay. P.S. hello every1 http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've been a water (drink) fiend since early on. I remember buying my 52 ounce cup from an Exxon gas station and carting it from class to class when I was in law school (Fall 93-Spring 96). People laughed at me when I told them it was water, (drink), but a couple of my health nut professors actually nodded and when one of them brought a cake for the class, he made a point of telling me that it was not buttercream and that he did that because I was so vocal about the amount of fat in food.

My 4-year old knows that the only thing that she is going to get besides milk and orange juice is water. (drink) Occasionally, she'll get pink lemonade when we go out to eat, but when the waiter/waitress asks her what she wants, she'll say water (drink). I've told her that sodas eat your insides up and that neither orange juice nor milk will satisfy the thirst like water (drink).

In her preschool class, they have a fruit snack at about 9 every day and some of the kids bring juice, but she wanted a water (drink) bottle. She eats her fruit (after being chastised for eating somebody's chips and I told her that the fruit was helping her brain to process what she just learned) and saves her water (drink) for the playground. There is no water (drink) fountain on the playground and she has come home with that water (drink) bottle empty on those hot days. And I pick her up from school, she asks me for more water (drink). It starts early. She will *tattle* on her daddy and sister if they get anything to drink that isn't water (drink) even if it's just lemonade or gatorade.

Thanks Frosty,

I was going to do better today but I've only had one glass of water and 1 cup of coffee and the day is over. Oh well I guess I going to have to carry a bottle around with me and sip because I really need to drink water.

All that water drinking, how many times a day to you guys take trip to the bathroom. My office is on the second floor, we don't have an elevator so I'm always taking a break to the bathroom. It's annoying. coworkers are starting to look at me funny

Your co-workers need to be visiting the bathroom more anyway. Let them see you have increased your water intake. Maybe they'll learn from you! I go about once every hour.

That was so funny and adorable! GodMadeMePretty, you are doing a wonderful thing. You daughter sounds like me-I drink nothing but water, and when I have children, that will their primary drink as well. Instilling great habits when they are young is essential. Also, her tastes are being influenced now. Chances are, she will never desire unhealthy beverages. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

When you first start increasing your intake, you go A LOT. But after a while, it seems to slow down.
