A little help with highlights....

Hello,

I usually use a goldish highlight for my makeup. Since I am now trying to branch out into more colors, how do I choose a highlight color? Any suggestions? Thanks!

I've seen some ppl choose it by the color scheme of the other shadows: for example:
using Digit (very pale lilac color) when using deep purples like Nocturnelle or Graphology

or using Pen N Pink (very pale pink) when using deep pinks like Passionate or Post Haste
