I was looking and eyebrows.com I want to play up my eye brows but I know there is a cheaper way!! This girl one time waxed them with some wax strips that you rub together on your hands and then apply...anybody know what the name of this is? I need something that includes stencils too or I will jack up my face!! Last question: What's a good filler to fill in my light eyebrows. Lemme show you a pic. (Hmm they look thicker in this pic than in real life haha)

I have sparse eyebrows and use Lorac Take A Brow eyebrow powder to fill in my eyebrows. I've used pencils and powders in the past, but this by far gives my eyebrows a really natural finish. I like the fact that it includes a wax to seal flyaway hairs.

Join the club of sparse eyebrows. Girl, I'd not feel comfy doing the wax thing coz if you screw up, you're "finished". Will be forever before you get that hair back if you're one of those not blessed with bushy eyebrows that grow fast.

I suggest following the directions on eyebrowz.com but using tweezers instead. That's what I do. You have more control over the hair you remove and if you use a white pencil as a guide and brush the hairs so you are pulling out roots that are out of place and not hairs out of place since those can be brushed, you'll be a pro in no time.

Most people prefer powder because they get a more natural look from it. I prefer pencil because I don't like the setting gels that one must use with powder in order for it not to rub off easily. Also, I find pencil applied lightly then dusted w/ face powder gives as natural a look as powder but more longlasting.

Cutie, you wanna bet? *I* would win that prize. But like you, I try to make-believe I've got some.

OP, you asked for cheaper alternatives to eyebrowz.com... Ardell which I have seen at CVS and was my first intro to stencils makes eyebrow products and their shape was nice and long and looked much better, IMO than the stencil shapes you get from eyebrowz.com--and I tried a few. But as time goes by, you get better at it and find you no longer need stencils to create your shape.

if we are on the same level (AKA the bottom :ohwell:) then how do you make you eyebrows natural??? Im just starting out so I use Anastasia pencil and try to follow the natural shape of the few hairs I have. Then I fill in with mac brow shadow. If I need it darker I have a clinique way pencil

My mother had almost no eyebrows and then had the nerve to want someone to shape them. LOL! So I told her to put some castor oil on it and now at 53 she has some hair up there finally. It's a miracle!

LOL, this thread is funny. Not because of the lack of eyebrows but because you'll are fighting over who is worse :lachen::lachen::lachen:

I do to have sparse eyebrows but I noticed with the right person (at the nail shop) to do them, my eyebrows look much thicker and fuller.

personally I like thin eyebrows, the reason I stopped getting them waxed at the spa was because they wouldnt make them thin enough

I have very sparse eyebrows i used to fill them in at uni with eyeshadow, till i broke the brush and the eyeshadow got mashed up.

I get mine threaded and i think they look much better
I'm going to repurchase the bobbi brown eyebrow brush and mahogany powder

It seems liek when I get them waxed they look fuller too!! I need to learn how to do this myself! What's gonna happen when my friend graudates...or like now it's summer and we are thousands of miles apart loool. I'm doomed. I find it weird that my mom and dad don't have thick eyebrows. hardly any. My mom just draws a line on....:perplexed it looks like two frowny faces on her face

I have been battling this since I was 15! That's when I started to break out and I could no longer pull off the sparse look without flawless skin. I just lightly apply a dark brown pencil. I have found that if I get them done right they do look fuller BUT that is trick. These nail shop waxes are a hit or miss and I'm w/ the thread starter: if you miss then you're DONE. I have yet to try threading, but it seems a lot more precise. I'm still recovering from a bad wax job. Experimenting (crossing fingers) with threading will wait to wait until fall.

Don't do the threading (or at least be careful). I'm sitting here looking for tips on how to regrow brows and fill them in the meantime because I decided to try threading today. My brows are usually on the thick side of medium, but not anymore - now they are too thin and short. I am not happy  and I guess tomorrow I'm going to go buy a brow pencil and experiment or stop by sephora and see if I can get some help and maybe a brow kit. I feel like I have been scalped.:sad:

Fortunately i don't have this problem. I was blessed with my daddy's eyebrows and hairiness...fine for my head and eyebrows, bad for other parts of my body...LOL

Can you not do some of the same hair growing techniques we use on our hair on our brows? Like putting castor oil and SAA on them at night to help them thicken and grow.

Essentially I think the best and easiest way to get them shaped and trained a certain way is to let them grow for a while. you may have to go 3 weeks or so and then get them shaped.

I use embark shadow by MAC to fill or define...

i have barely any eyebrows and they're such fine hairs that i can't really pluck them. i use one of those little eyebrow shavers to clean them up and then i pencil them in.

Fill them in with a dark brown (not black) eyeshadow.

You think having thin eyebrows is a problem????? I was always complemented on my eyebrows because folks thought I always got them done. I started late in life getting them shaped so I could have an arch. I fill them in with eyeshadow. I use smashbox's shadow set which includes a wax. Can anyone recommend a cheap, durg store alternative for the wax?
