Soooooo, I was offered a position at MAC

We are new to AZ and we are learning our way around. I went to the Nordstroms in Chandler on Saturday and the MAC ladies were oohing and aahing at my makeup that I really didn't think was all that but of course, I was still geeked. The manager asked me to apply and to give her my name so she could pull my application because she wanted to hire me. Today, my daughter had an appt in Scottsdale, so we stopped at the mall over there. We went inside to pick up some items from Cool Heat and the ladies inside the MAC store were complementing my skills. Before I knew it, I was handed an application. The lady who handed me the app, is the big wig for the MAC's in AZ. I was stoked. So, I love makeup, I love MAC...should I go for it???



Ok, so Im looking all cute, I hand in my application today. I brought my resume with me but left it in the car. I go in and a blond comes rushing over asking if she can help me. I tell her that I purchased everything I needed yesterday but I was coming back to drop off my application. I then ask for the manager that gave me the app yesterday. The smile IMMEDIATELY disappeared from ol' girl's face. By this time, everyone recognizes me from yesterday so she is standing there with the brrrr...duh...look oh her face by now. So the asst. manager asked me if I brought back my app, I proceed to hand it to her. Ol' girl who initially was helping me says "it would LOOK better if you had a resume with it"...

I was about to go into negroidian mode but the asst mgr stopped her DEAD in her tracks and said "oh, trust me, she did an interview AND we saw her resume just by looking at her"....

So "checkmate" *****....

But anyway...I have a demo on Monday...Im excited!!!

I know I can apply makeup and Im still stoked they thought enough to ask me to apply. Some people tried to discourage me (not you lilchocolate) but Im going to do it anyway!

but thats strange that they are so eager. On Spektra they describe how you have to go through hell and back to be Mac MUA. I would take it!!! Its a coveted position!
