YUMMY! One of you recommended these to me & it was delcious. They are hella expensive though. I was wondering, are you supposed to peel the skin before you eat these?

Yum! I love Asian Pears (always with skin on). They are expensive too.

You're lucky Jainygirl to have had a neighborhood full of these trees!

Ever let them sit and get just ripe where they have that twangy taste to them? The taste is unbelievable. You have to time the ripening just right though. Once I left mine in my desk a couple of days and forgot about it and went to eat it and it had a fermented taste to it. I don't drink alcohol so the I thought it was nasty but my co-worker got a knife and tore that poor little fruit up. Then asked me if I had another one? Can you say AA?
