Whenever I am mentsrating my metabolism speeds up. I am always hungry. I'll eat and then 2 hours later I'm hungry again. If you have this problem, how do you curb your appetite?

I definitely do! I get cravings for anything chocolate, sweet, and full of carbs!
I normally just cave in, because I am not strong!

I have the same problem this week. I fight that strong urge to no avail. Lately, I've been taking a multivitamin and I noticed that the urge to eat everything on site has subdued abit. I also have a venti cafe latte with vanilla free syrup with whipped cream at starbucks in the morning. That takes cares of my cravings for the day. I know it's bad for you but a girl has got to indulge http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I'm always hungry anyway. I really can't seem to curb my appetite.

Same here, If I try to curb my appetite around that time, I just wind up completely irritable...So I keep deshelled sunflower seeds and raisins to help me. They fill me up. I figure it will at least give me good fats and proteins, and what ever health benifits raisins have to offer.

I usually feel this way BEFORE Aunt Rosie from Redbank comes to visit. I give in to the urges. Once she comes to town, I actually eat a lot less because I have no "taste" for anything....plus, Id rather sleep than eat during that time.

I have that same problem, but unfortunately I don't think that there is anything that you can do about it. I crave chocolate, carbs, and other things that are bad for me. I just give in to the cravings http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/lick.gif

I usually get hungry the week before as well. I used to crave sweet things, but after eating foods with natural sugars (fruits...) I noticed that the cravings subsided, and the cramps subdued as well. I believe our bodies tell us many things, if we just listen to them and stay in tune with them

I wonder, does it also seem like your energy increases too? I remember writing a post on one of cathe's forums, just delighting in the fact that I had had a blast the last three or four days working out because I felt I could push myself so hard, my heaviest weights were feeling so light, I was stepping for more than an hour at a time and wasn't getting too tired. Somebody responded asking me if I were due for my monthly visit. I thought that was strange, but it turned out to be true the next month. I never noticed it before. So take advantage of the increased metabolism.

I resign myself to the fact that one week of every month my eating habits are going to be a bit beyond the norm. So, I just go with it, and then resume my normal eating patterns when my cycle ends.
