Mineral make-up is the first make-up I've worn consistently but I might be looking for something else with more coverage.

Al fluid ones leave my dry skin zones eventually flaky and break me out on my oile skin areas so I'd rather avoid any fluids.

What would you recommend?
Compact powder, regular powder? Is there anything else?

Also which brands are good I can NEVER match my yellow undertones, the make-up always ends up being a tad bit to red for me.

Have you tried MAC?

Also, in Dillards theres a new line that comes in a purple and silver packagaing. Named after a female. I had a makeover done with it and liked the finish.

Look for a powdery texture in both lines.

how about a tinted moisturizer? light, but you can build for more coverage. I like those by Becca and Bobbi Brown

ETA: I see you don't want fluid. Actually, it may not be the product but your moisturizer. What are you using. Becca and Bobbi also have nice stick and compact foundations.

I posted earlier but the server at work went down.

I know how it is with yellow skin - finding a match is a nightmare. Minerals are the best match.

What i have done is use a daily face moisturiser with a self tanning agent (Dove) on my face and neck. That gives the skin a bit more colour and then for evenings i wear a cream to powder compact foundation. The tanned skin matches easier to slightly redder foundation.

I too have oily/break-out skin and the range called Black-Up (i know, its an awful name) has good shades. I think they have a website.

I thought about trying MAC but heard it broke quite a few ppl out,I still might give it a try.

I had this problem with both
Clinique- Dramatically Different and Neutrogena-forget the name but it has spf45
I have hyperpigmentation that's why I'm looking for good coverage, would a tinted moisturizer work?
Currently I'm thinking about trying a compact powder like this (http://www.clinique.com/templates/products/sp_shaded.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY4900&PRODUCT_ID=PROD9704) or this (http://www.clinique.com/templates/products/sp_shaded.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY4900&PRODUCT_ID=PROD682).
Just wondering if this is what i'm looking for and if Clinique is yellow enough for me.
Actually i'm very interested in both Becca and Bobbi Brown,I heard good things about them, just wondering if they have what I need

I know it is:nono:I thought about giving some asian skin care lines a try since they came up during my google queryMinerals are the best match.

Hm... I used self tanners in the past to cover my hyperpigmentation,I might have to try this if I can't find good make-up.
If I try miner-make-up again i'll go with the milanminerals lady b/c she gave me some rec's from her line but for now i hope to find something with a lilttle bit more coverage

What kind of mineral makeup do you wear? I just started wearing mineral makeup and I have the same issue with hyperpigmentation but I also have uneven skin tone. My remedy for this is to mix my moisturizer with my mineral make up and apply to my face with a foundation brush. Nothing major, after moisturizing my face I just dab some of my moisturizer on the back of my hand, use the foundation brush to pick up some of the mineral makeup, blend it with the moisturizer until it matches and apply. Then I finish off with a tiny bit of mineral powder to set. It works like a charm and it gives me way more coverage!(well for me anyways:look:)

BTW I use Bare Minerals.

I thought I was the only one with this problem. It had been a nightmare trying to match something to this skin of mine. Everything had me looking like a lobster. I just bought some American Beauty products, the concealer and mineral powder, and they are almost near perfect for my yellow undertones. I haven't tried the foundations yet, but so far I am sold.

These products are sold at Kohl's.

I think a stick foundation that is creme to powder with spf 15 in two tones would be ideal, you could not only use one as a concealer for the hyperpigmented areas and use the other for the face. I dont have one that i recommend as i'm biased i have my own make up line and do have a stick coming in july. Maybe some women who had more success with the other brands can let you know. I personnally breakout with MAC but i do have an oily t-zone. you could check Iman or have a custom made foundation at prescriptives

however i do recommend for heavy breakouts the SHISEIDO pureness cleansing line made specially for "peaux mixtes" oily t-zones because sometimes just the cleansing does it and using anti-shine powder helps too.

Good idea.

Oh - i use www.barefacedbeauty.com (http://www.barefacedbeauty.com) they are based in the UK. The colours they have are brilliant. I have 2 foundations and both match great. I use one for my pale days and the other has a bit more colour

Since I live in the middle of nowwhere I'm wearing Mary-Kay and I think it's one of the yellower ones still leaves me looking red though
I seriously want to try something else that isn't mineral make-up like cream powder or so but your idea sounds very good
