This includes protein shakes, diet shakes, protein bars, or pills.
I was thinking about getting a protein shake to supplement a meal and/or Xenadrine without Ephedrine. I really want to burn off this extra fat that I have and I was wondering if supplements would be a good addition to my workout/eating right program. If anyone has any suggestions or thoughts on this topic I would appreciate to hear from you.

I will drink a slim fast for breakfast. If I do not have time to eat breakfast.

Hey Tebby.
I take supplements every time I excercise. I know there has been much written up about Ephedrine and I don't want anyone to take my experience as gospel, but I have used products with Ephedrine in them for over 5 years and I have only once (the first time) had bad side effects (nervousness). When I work out I usually take Xenadrine, although I have switched to Hydroxycut lately. I can definitely tell the difference between using them and not using them. I used the Ephedrine free version and it was a waste of money (to me), so I switched back.
I think the key is the amt. that you take. I only take one pill 30 minutes prior to exercising and it gives me load of energy. It increases my endurance by 200%. Therefore, I am able to work out longer and its more effective.
I also drink protein shakes in the morning. I drink MyoPlex Lite (thanks Adrienne) w/a banana in it.

I am currently using vitamins to support weight loss.
I also have on hand atkins shakes and zone perfect bars for when I am on the go

evening primrose
Vitamin C
cal/mag also supports weight loss I have to incorporate this..

I drink protein shakes and take hydroxycut(not regularly). I have a lot of others that I don't use. I don't like most protein shakes, but Lean Body For Her by Labrada is really good. Pure Protein has a lot of protein and low carbs, but add some fruit.

That Myoplex is very good. You can get it from Walmart around 5 or 6 something per four pack. I get the strawberry cream low carb. I get one pack of the regular carb one for early in the day, for energy. They do fill me too. I also take either Hydroxycut or Xenadrine. But no more than 3 in a day. I don't take it often either. But yes I can tell when I don't take them. The only side effect was nervousness when I first started to take them. Now my main side effect is giddiness.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I am like a kid or a little foal in pasture frolicking about. Sooooo that is why I use that energy to workout.

I used to take Hydroxycut, but like you guys, just before working out. I stopped due to the Ephedrine, but I think you guys are right about not taking the amount that they recommend. I got good results with that too.
I also used to drink the protein shakes that is used for the Body For Life, but I don't remember why I stopped. I don't know if I will go back to drinking those protein shakes or not...I have to think about it, but I will probably add the Hydroxycuts back to my routine. I did get a lot more energy for my workouts.
