Hello everyone
I need nice abs by Memorial Day weekend (going to Miami)my tummy is a little fluffy...my problem area like most females is the "kangroo pouch" How do i get rid of it? I have been running and doing my ab work out but for some reason i only see results in my upper abs.

best of luck. I don't have washboard abs, but they respond very well when I cut out the fat in my diet (and I mean a serious calorie deficit) and do high intensity floor aerobics. Remember, you should concentrate on fat-burning activity so that you can see the ab muscle underneath.

Lower Abs (pouch)
Lie on your back with ur feet pointing up towards the ceiling (toe pointing up), hands underneath ur buttocks, raise your butt off the floor concentrating on ur abs. Do NOT just lift ur butt up and down off of the floor, this diminishes the focus from the abs to the glutes.

This is EXCELLENT, back in my slim days http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/rofl.gif this enabled me to get that coveted six pack. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Bicycle
Head and shoulders off the floor, as you 'pedal' with your right foot, your left hand (or elbow) points toward said knee... then vice versa.

Leg ups
Head and shoulders on floor, arms flat on floor at sides, legs flat on floor, toes pointed. Left lefts off the floor at a 90 degree angle (i believe). This exercise concentrates on ur lower abs. If you experience any lower back back, don't lift your legs so high and/or put your hands underneath ur buttocks.

u have to do exercises that will isolate & work that specific area. i do all these now & more:
crunches with your feet raised in air or on a chair/bench, leg extensions, crunches on an incline bench, cycling on the floor (elbow to knee), oblique crunches, body twists with a bar or weights.
*****suggestion: these exercises can be looked up on the net with demonstrations & also the Taebo abs & glutes workout tape does them all. It was an inexpensive buy & is well worth even more.

I am doing the scissor exercise and it has been working great for me.
I always make sure I do at least 20-30 min worth of cardio acitvity.
No matter how many situps you do the tummy will not go way without burning fat first.

You should try Denise Austin's Hit the Spot: Abs. She makes sure to work the entire abdomen (incl the little pouch area). It has 3 10-minute segments so you can switch it up each day.

I have never heard it described that way. I have the kangoroo pouch going on. My trainer on Saturday had me lay back on a machine. I had to bring the legs up to my stomach. I was struggling. My abs are still sore today. Also, I agree with the other ladies. Cardio is a must for losing weight in your abs. Getting rid of the top layer of fat is great for whittling the waist line.
