View Full Version : I need motivation to lose weight

Shamefully, I have 3 different sizes in my closet because my weight fluctuates between seasons. The sizes range from a 5/6-9/10(current size). I'm definitely not overweight in fact, based on my height 5'10 this is where I should be(haven't gotten on the scale in a long time). All of my weight goes straight to my booty so 9/10 fits in the a** area, but not in the waist. Despite this fact I am more comfortable on the smaller end of the spectrum. I am fortunate that once I begin to lose weight it literally falls off. The problem is I cannot find the motivation to get off my butt and do what I need to do. I keep talking about how I'm going to join the gym, then I talk about how I'm going to join Curves and not soon after I'm talking about taking Yoga. What can I do to get myself out of this funk so I can have it together by the time the weather is warm? Help!!! I don't know how I could assist you with motivation, but just know that you can do it! You could try to give yourself a period of time to lose the weight to fit into something you like, or posting pics of celebs with great bodies-I do both. Umm...can't think of anything else.

I don't know if you keep a planner or Palm or anything, but schedule it! Make a commitment to go. And before you go, write down exactly what you intend to do (that is, if you are doing weightlifting or different forms of cardio). Basically PLAN it, and then go. I'm usually good about going if I plan when and exactly what I"m going to do. If I don't do that, I tend to flake out.
Just getting there is the hardest part, seriously...

No one can give you the motivation to lose weight. You have to do it yourself. You have to want it badly especially for those days that you just want to skip the workout, eat delicious deserts.
