Okay, so some of you know that the first time I was on Atkins it was miraculous.... the weight melted off, but this time around I'm struggling with every pound.

Yesterday I threw in the rag, the scale hadn't budged and I went and had a grand ole time at Mcdonalds....

This morning I was 2 pounds lighter.....now somebody got to help me cause I don't get it....what the he**???

This has happened to me before and I'm baffled....

but if I stay off the weight will come back, and if I go back on....I'll be stalled again???

This sounds like something that happens on Weight watchers. Whenever you get stalled like this on WW you are told to eat your max number of points for a day and then the next to eat your minimum and to do this for about a week. It does something to your metabolism so that it kicks up again.

Are you working out, you might need to add some weights.

Thanks Kare, I do walk 1 1/2 miles three times a week...I'm not doing any weight lifting though.

Anyone have more info on this?? This is interesting...does my body think it's starving?

Yeah I think you should have a cheat day once in a while so that you can jump start your metabolism.

the week before my period, l lost it and fell off my high protein diet. no more salmon, nuts, lentils, protein shakes. i ate tons of mozzarella sticks, cake, vending machine food, ice cream- i figured it couldnt hurt because i am trying to gain weight. ( and i slacked on the exercise.) well, i lost four pounds. thats right. now i know my high protein diets and workouts are effective.
