Does anyone want to start a food journal thread, like the exercise challenge?
A little bit of group support, and knowing that you have to post what you eat might be helpful...

it sounds like a good idea but I feel a little self conscious seeing people critiquing my daily food choices...especially the bad!

i get discouraged when i have to tell others what i'm doing. like i'm not meeting expectations http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/look.gif i already know...i have issues. but i think this is a good idea for those that want to participate. i keep track of what i eat daily myself--it's very helpful for keeping myself in check and knowing when i have to do a little extra when i go to the gym.

ITA. Keeping a food journal is a good idea (keeping one helped me lose 50lbs), but I don't know about having a public food journal. Hmmm...http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/scratchchin.gif

i keep a food, hair & exercise journal. the hair info is kept in a separate notebook. a thread is great for those interested in participating. I've been keeping the food journal since December & boy, what a difference it makes!

From the discovery online challenge. I think I should have received it months ago but hey at least I got it.

I have a food journal that I got many years ago when bought the book that Oprah wrote with her trainer (Make the Connection). I never used it but I'll dig it up and start using it. I don't know about posting it every day because I'm just too lazy to type that much.

I didn't see the 'fitness journal' thread until this morning, but it looks like they are doing something similar already. I think I'll just join on over there http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

i'd like to challenge the ladies to also keep a hardcopy food journal. when i was trying to lose weight. i kept one that monitored how many calories i ate, and how much water i drank. i also wrote down if i exercised or not that day http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
If anyone is lazy like me. DietPower is a great program that lets you enter all of that information in and you can print your daily totals and everything.
