It depends on what body part I'm working out.

Plie squats - one 50lb dumbbell
Bench press - 20-30lb dumbbells depending on the angle (flat, decline or incline)
Shoulders - 10-20lb dumbbells depending on the exercise
Triceps - 10-12lb dumbbells
Biceps - 12-20lb dumbbells depending on the exercise
Back - 30-45lb dumbbells depending on the exercise.

is that each dumbbell or both, i do 2.5 lb each :look: im a wuss.
