I've been trying to drink less coffee. I went two days without coffee. Last night and today I have a splitting headache that just won't let up.
When I realized it might be coffee withdrawls, I RAN and grabbed a cup and practically gulped it down.
:fat: I drink coffee EVERY DAY at least 1 to 4 cups a day.
How do I wean myself off coffee without the headaches. UGH! I'm about to go get another cup! :perplexed
I am miserable :ohwell:

Yep that sounds like a caffeine withdrawal. Coming from someone who used to drink coffee and cokes in huge amounts, cutting off caffeine was hard. But can be done in about 3 days, then the headaches were gone.

OMG, I think that this is happening to me!! I didn't have coffee today and I had a headache all day long. I just drank a coke and took an advil, and now I feel fine.
Dang, I'm an addict.... :ohwell:
I'll work on this over summer vacation. I can't afford to have headaches for three days, not this week. :nono:

Caffeine withdrawal should be enough to get you into rehab. It has the worst physical symptoms. That's why I'm still "on it".

I still have a headache!!! ugh!
I switched to Decaf Green Tea to try to gain some of the health benefits. I really love coffee but I heard it inhibits weightloss so I wanted to make some positive changes.
This article says you could have a headache for up to 5 days!!!!!:violin:

Actually, I've heard doctors say caffeine helps speed up the metobolism and gives you energy, which is why it's included in many weight loss pills and potions.
And yes, your headache could last for almost a week. Drinking a small amount of black coffee will get rid of the headache, and won't affect your weightloss.
Or if you want to stay away from coffee completely, a few sips of a caffinated beverge will help.

LOL...me too.... but I enjoy my iced coffees and lattes and have no plan to quit....I only have 1, maybe 2 cups a day (at the most)...the thing that bothers me more is how it effects my wallet, LOL!
But yeah I get a headache too if I go for more than a day or so without some sort of caffeine... :ohwell:
I have never heard of caffeine inhibiting you from losing weight??? For me it actually stunts my appetite..... Maybe if you put too much syrup and flavored creamer or full fat milk in it, it makes you gain weight??

I would suggest half caffeinated coffee :) I know Starbucks makes a half caff breakfast blend. I usually just use it when I want coffee and it a little later than usual. But it should work to help wean someone off of regular coffee.
You could actually just make your own too. What you do is by 2 bags of the same coffee, one decaf and the other regular, then just mix them together.

Instead of quitting cold turkey...try weaning yourself off. If you drink 1- 4 cups daily. Do 2 cups for a week then go down to 1 cup the next week...

Yeah this makes sense. I just quit cold turkey. I'm thinking maybe I should use caffeinated tea. Today I had my usual cup in the morning and no headache.
Well I am diabetic and I was told to cut down on coffee, I asumed it was weight related. I thought I read something about weightloss & coffee somewhere (that the caffeine was not necessarily the issue).
I have been doing so much reseach lately I don't know where I read what. I need to take my butt to the library and quit depending on the internet for err-thang.:spinning:
