I've seen a few threads mention using it on your skin but the posts are from 2006. Does anyone have any recent experience with it and if so what are ways to use it--like how to mix it and with what. i'd sure appreciate anyone who can expound and give their results. :spinning:

One of the most inspiring testimonials was by Sterry in this thread (http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28289).

I would like to know. I'm using Vicco turmeric cream and Himani Gold. It's been about a week, my skin is smoothing out. I'll give it three months.

been using himani gold seriously for 2 weeks. it broke my skin out bad, that i was going to stop using it, but i knew it was just a cleansing reaction. My ski is smoothig out and clearing up for sure now. Im going to finish the 3 bottles I bought.

also the turmeric soap is EXCELLENT . My skin comes out so buttery soft and clean and moisturized.I use the manjal brand

It was so hyped up on here at the time that I couldn't pass it up. It didn't do anything for me though. :ohwell: I tried it for 6 months just to give it some time, but it never gave me results like some of the ladies here. Also, the smell is very annoying.

Also, what would your reasons for using it be? I was trying to get rid of dark marks. Im pretty sure it will cause your skin to have a glow/shimmer because of the gold specks in it. I used the Himani 24K.

I never bought the Himani Gold when it was so popular around here, but I did use the Vicco Turmeric cream http://www.indousplaza.com/vicco-turmeric-cream-with-sandal-p-74.html?cat=3&cPath=3_25&osCsid=1c8c4e83cea8aa56c5b32d638b98a222

along with the upton powder http://www.indousplaza.com/upton-powder-p-73.html?cat=3&cPath=3_25&osCsid=1c8c4e83cea8aa56c5b32d638b98a222

these worked wonders for my face. I had some dark spots on my face that did clear up after using these two products, but as we all know, everything does not work the same for everyone.

I am no longer using these products because I have recently started seeing a derm(getting chemical peels), but I can say that I did see a big difference in my skin while using them. :yep:

I am not using the cream. I am using a homemade recipe with tumeric in it. I have been on this forum about 2 weeks. I read somthing about baking soda so I started washing my face with just baking soda i was impressed, it immediately showed a difference. i did that for about a week. I found another recipe for a homemade cleanser
yogurt or buttermilk, honey and oatmeal. I made that up and added some Tumeric to it once i read something about tumeric cream. The last two weeks are the best my face have looked in months. I do get the monthly signal along my jaw line and I have several dark spots, yep i mess with them bumps alot. My face has a softer look that is very noticeable when i go stand in the mirror and the dark spots seems softer as well. The only problem with my mix is I have to keep in the fridge and it is so doggone cold in the morning. I place it on my face massage it in, then brush my teeth and wash it off in the shower.

I thank you ladies who responded. I have dark marks on my face--mostly from picking at the breakouts that I get. i went to the Indian store and just bought plain tumeric in a bag. I saw the name Himani but it was in another language and I didn't know if that was it so I didn't buy it. The people in that store look at me like i'm an alien when i go in there so i'm not all that comfortable asking them any questions. I saw something about mixing it with milk and honey. I'm going to wait until I see some mixes that people have used and then try it out. Again, thanks ladies for answering. I love the people on this board!!

Yes there are many benefits from taking it internally as well. There is a lot of information about it on earthclinic.com. mmm I just had thought. I also have some fresh Tumeric in my fridge. I had gotten it because I had read some where it is good to help build up people with anemia. I wonder If I get the juice and use it on my spots what will happen. I guess I better check for a spot on my leg to experiment.
