spots along jaw that SCAR!!!

:sad:Hi, my name is danichoo - im new to the skin care board and I have seen your facial regimens.

I have combination /dry skin and am medium/dark toned. I dont break out much but I do get maybe 2 spots each month along my jaw line which always always scars...not bad you may say, except they are in a different place each month, creating a nice dot to dot scar effect....

does anyone know what this is - they dont have a head they are just hard and painful , then peel away.

I need to get rid of the scars,

I wash with a soapfree cleanser and moisturise- i switch moisturisers from the same range depending if my skin is oily/dry..which can vary from day to day

any help would be apreciated

If they don't come to a head, it sounds like you might have cystic acne. That does cause large, painful bumps beneath the skin. I suffered with that for years. :sad: And there's no simple cure.

I suggest going to a dermatologist, who can prescribe something to first of all get the acne under control (the root of the problem), and a medication to help fade the spots.

Some have had success using baking soda scrubs...exfoliation is definately a good way to help the spots fade away, just don't scrub too much.

Also, take a look at your diet...for me, too many dairy products make my face go nuts. Drink plenty of water, eat lots of fresh fruits and veggies and cut waaaaay back on sugar.

I have the same problem as Danichoo except my skin is combo/oily. Any more tips would be appreciated especially for fading the spots as I get fewer breakouts now.
