View Full Version : Any weightloss challenges starting may 1st?

Hi,

I really just found this part of the board and I know summer is approaching and need some help getting my big tail up and doing something about my figure. So if there are any challenges starting up May 1st can you let me know? Im game!

I was looking for one to LOL!! But maybe you can start one, I will join you! I had plan on doing Tae Bo for 30 days, I love Tae Bo just haven't done it in awhile it really gets me into to shape quickly, I am also going to do the Firm about once a week for muscle training.
As far as my eating goes, I am really trying to get away from Red meat & Pork as they are hard for me to digest and make me bloat and makes my stomach make crazy noises. So for my beef I use Boca Crumbles and Boca Patties for Hamburgers.

So what about you?

Hmm, maybe we will get a few more responses so we can decide what to do. I like your plan, I think I could maybe limit red meat and pork as I think they are not so good with me either but I really like them! I was planning on doing a South Beach type plan with weekly workouts atleast 2 to 4 times a week. We'll have to see how this all falls together.

hey ladies!! i wanna join :grin: i'll be joining the gym not too sure what i will do there though we'll see, in terms of diet i will limit chocolate, my guilty pleasure, lots of fruit n veg lean meat no frozen/processed foods such as frozen mash, that delicious spring rolls n so on..from now on i'll be cooking things from scratch except for bread and other things..and i will keep browzing (healthily of course) thru out the day to keep my metabolism up and take a multi vitamin

Wonderful!! I don't know what the Challenge will be but your plan sounds wonderful! We can help each other out even if we don't get alot of people, what you think?

I'm in:yep:. I'm already doing the Atkins Challenge but I need to be more consistent with my workouts. I do 10 miles daily on my recumbent bike when I do it but I need to add weight training to it.

SparkPeople had an article on doing "streaks". Basically, you challenge yourself to do something 100% for a short period of time and then you give yourself a reward. I've already started a 10-day Callanetics streak (10 consecutive days before I can take a break, my reward will be a new workout outfit).

HairHustla, I was just thinking the same thing. I jam ust reading the post in this section and I am in very bad need of a fitness/nutrition challenge. I have been trying to get my stuff together since January 2008 and it is May. I still have 30-35 pounds to lose, haven't gotten serious about a nutrition plan and have been inconsistent with working out.

I am in. let's decide on a challenge and start May 2008. I love starting on Sunday's or Monday's.
