View Full Version : Chemical Peels, or anything that can dramatically lighten
Has anyone had one of those professional chemicals peels? I have always had a neck that's darker than the rest of my body, and I want to try something that can lighten it up.
Thanks,

A peel can lighten your complexion??? Wow, I didn't know this? My head's lol darker than the rest of my body. I need to correct that
Lol!
Yep, anything's possible nowadays. I'm just scared to go through with it. I'm gonna see a dermatologist one of these days.

Ladies I would suggest going to a dermatologist that specializes in that area. If you have a car and are in the NYC metro area then Jeanine B. Downie of Montclair, NJ may be able to help you. She does cosmetic work and performs chemical peels. She is going on MATERNITY leave in February so maybe you should call ahead to book an appointment but plan on seeing her on her return. SHe is good and has been on the View, and in various magazines regarding her work.
GOOD LUCK ladieez

Karonica,
Have you tried the product Esoterica? Its not a peel, its a cream that contains Hydroquinone, which helps to lighten the skin. My sister uses this all the time and it works well. I use it infrequently and have had success. Its relatively cheap too, about $8 at the drugstore.
I seem to recall someone else using glycolic acid in combination with the Hydroquinone to fade blemishs.

Wow!
I shall check it out then.
Thanks! /forums/images/graemlins/drunk.gif

I'm looking for the same thing. If you find anything, let me know. I have had one home peel using a four day peel from Skin Culture.com (http://www.skinculture.com)
and it helped a little. I think it is series of peels that really makes a difference.
