I really think it does. Everyone was telling me to make mine thinner & give it an arch and I recently did but then when I look at my pics now and compare it to last year..the thicker eyebrows made me look younger.:scratchch
Does anyone agree or disagree?

I agree. I see woman all the time with these overplucked eyebrows and I think they are older than they really probably are. Now just because they are think don't mean they should be wild, they look best trimmed and neat.

Yes. That's why a lot of make-up artists are now recommending a fuller eyebrow instead of the pencil thin look that everyone had going on.
I think thicker eyebrows do soften the face. It's a more youthful look. Thin eyebrows can give some people a really severe look.
There was a makeup artist discussing makeup during "the Golden Age" of Hollywood (1940-50s). She was saying how all the starlets wore those pencil thin eyebrows and it made them look 10-15 years older than they really were.

Thanks . So my theory is correct...just looking at the pics and comparing...there was a difference and I knew that was it!
Thanks guys :yep: I'm going to let it grow out and just make them look neat but not thin.

When I learned to draw in eyebrows, I'd do them a bit thin (http://images106.fotki.com/v488/photos/3/31573/328991/My4ABPenSprings-vi.jpg). I've since made them thicker, and I do prefer how they look thicker. :yep: I have to admit that it was probably my desire for real and thick eyebrows that led me to thicken the design, but now that you mention it, I so agree! Those pics of Angelina Jolie I posted in another thread with shaved eyebrows then drawn in thin made her look so bad. The ones with her shapely but thicker eyebrows were so becoming of her!

I agree. That's why I haven't had thin eyebrows in a long time. One time my dh was looking at some pictures of me when I was 15. He told me I looked old. I can only figure it was because of the overplucked eyebrows and the tight curls in my hair.

yes, they do. Think about it....children have full brows....they don't pluck r tweeze....i refuse to do anything to my brows right now....they look bushy, but a thin brow just isn't cute

I definitely agree! I've been growing mine back in. I'm going to let them get as thick as possible, than neaten them up just a little.

I read an article about all the things that change as we get older. The thickness and luster of eyebrow hair is one of those things affected so yes, thicker and more lustterous brows would generally be associated with youth.
I keep my brows on the thicker side. When I get older I plan to slick a light coating of castor oil on them to maintain their thickness and luster.
