FAT! Why can't I take my health serious. I'm at risk for diabetes, heart disease, and cancer because I am FAT! My blood pressure is high and I have high cholesterol. I over eat, endulge entirely too much in the good stuff and yet, I can't seem to stop nor take these health conditions seriously. I'm going to the Islands in January and I still have no motivation to lose some of the blubber so I can at least fit into a bathing suit. Seriously, what is wrong w/ me!!!!!!! :wallbash:

Nychaelasymone, I understand your frustrations. I recently lost 30 pounds doing weight watchers. I knew that I had to lose weight too but for me it was just like something hit me one day and I was like "No More!" I jumped out of bed and joined weight watchers. I just couldn't take it anymore. I think you honestly have to make a connection and it has to be when you are ready. Hopefully reading some of these posts will help you change your way of thinking and you'll be on your way. I wish you the best!

Thank you ladies. I'm trying to find some inspiration somewhere, somehow. I honestly think I have a food addiction. My sincerely centers around breakfast, lunch, and dinner.......I realize I have a problem. I want to lose the weight, I really do but I lack discipline right now. :wallbash:

Start out small, do something simple...try to drink a glass of water before, during and after meals, cut out sodas (ALL sodas).....instead of meat at dinner eat only veggies, use the stairs at work park in the farthest parking space everywhere...my friend has this on her text and it is helping me.....Nothing TASTES as good as SKINNY feels!!

GO GET IT!!

I would buy a pedometer. 10000 steps a day is healthy. You can challenge yourself to walk more. Always, I would get a work out buddy.

NO SCALES, scales are discouraging!!! :wallbash: Pick a favorite pair of pants and use them as your guide. Lets get it together, cause I want to loose 20 pounds. We can start May 1, weigh and not weigh again for 30 days or try on those pants. Think of something that you know is really bad for you and cut it out COLD TURKEY, for me its sodas. So May 1 no soda, then the following week we can add something else, like no FAST FOOD or FRIED FOOD. Whatcha say? :look:

Can I join you ladies? I'm going to the Caribbean in June and need to lose 10-15 lbs. This will jump start me. I've already cut out sodas, but I need to give up white sugar. So May 1st is the start date? I really need accountability (I conveniently forget my bad snack habits).

come on in. I really need support to get through this as well. I'm a carb junkie and I must bust this sugar habit. I'm in better spirits today....so lets talk about what we are going to do? and how we are going to hold each other accountable?

ok, well I will need yall to be firm with me. Im gonna need to check in daily cause if I don't I will conveniently "forget" what I'm shoveling in my mouth, I love carbs too, mostly white flour carbs (read: sweets). I don't mind pming or we can report here. Maybe we can set weekly goals and if/when we meet them we can have some sort of reward-- I need to celebrate every little achievement so I can stay focused. I don't know, I'm just pulling things out of the air. :spinning:

YEAH US!!! I suggest we not get lost in this as being a 'diet plan' rather a lifestyle change, diets seem to hurt you cause we begin to deprive ourselves of everything to fast, so what are we going to commit to? Take away something each week, physical activity and healthy eating??? Checking in one day a week and encouraging each other to the fullest?!?!?!

I have discovered that I am a bored, stressed, late night snacker. So to help with this I am going to (1) turn the TV off within an hour of getting into bed, (2) no eating after 8..no snack cakes :ohwell::ohwell:....(3) commit to eating breakfast and (4) for my first take away item....NO SODAS!!!! (5) I will take the scale out of the bathroom and put in my trunk and use this dress I love as my guide....

I also have problems with late night snacking, I think I deprive myself to much during the day and when nighttime comes my cravings get the best of me. So, ladies can I join you?

So are we up for a lifestyle change go get it? No need for a challenge the whole concept is a challenge to me!!

I agree with the deprivation making you want it more. What if we list some of our own struggles (that we recognize) and give each other recommendations on effective means to evolve from them.

I believe in evolving not changing, I like me but I want to grow into a better me. :yep:

i agree with all the ladies take baby steps the first thing i did was cut out sugar in tea and coffee and now i cant imagine it with tea i cut out all sugary sodas cant drink them anymore, have to 100% cut out the diet type

after xmas i basically cut out all chocolate n i did well until valentines day and i had my hiccup but i recovered but then easter came and my parents sent me a care package with loads of chocolate n i ate them cause the only other thing i was doing was my finals :spinning: so what i have learnt is dnt cut out your fave food coompletely not making that mistake again
