Well, it was quite a disappointment. I had bought Prescriptives foundation (Flawless Skin) and pressed powder (Virtual Matte) last week, and while I loved the foundation, I wasn't too impressed with the powder, so I returned it today and though I'd try Bare Minerals, since it just opened recently.
I like the customer care, the ladies seem really nice, but unfortunately they have no clue about how to apply make up or how to choose the right shade.
For reference, I am a NW45 in MAC, so I'm quite dark. She tried three different shades on me (and I could tell from a mile away that they would never work on me), which were too light, and then another one which (ironically) was too dark. Plus, they all looked so chalky and dull on my skin (one of the reasons I returned the Prescriptives powder). So I left Selfridges a bit disappointed after trying out other brands such as NARS, Bobbi Brown and Armani.
I ended up at the Iman-counter in Debenhams and tried the Luminous Second-to-None foundation (which is a powder foundation), and I'm totally in love!!!
Not only do I have great coverage, but my skin is glowing!!!! See, I ruined my face using that horrible Noxzema (cleansing cream) and broke out horribly. I've been nursing my skin since, and it's healing veeeery slowly. I needed something practical I can carry around in my make-up bag. Now I found it. :drunk:
Just wanted to share :)!!
