Hi Guys

I am going to a concert next week and would like to be a bit browner than I currently am . I get so pale in the winter and need to get a bit of color! I haven't quite worked up the nerve to try a tanning salon yet:nono: sooooo... if any of you have used a great at home self tanner, please list it here and where I would find it (drugstore, sephora etc.). Also this would be my first time using one of these so any tips would be great! I already have one question?

Usually one does body AND face right? Not just body? If yes, does the same formulation work on body ANd face or do you have to buy 2 separate products?

If it makes a difference, I guess I am a pale caramely color right now, or you could just look in my fotki I guess.

I really like Loreal's Sublime Bronzer Self Tanning lotion in Medium. It looks really natural as long as you do not use too much. The only downfall is that it takes forever to dry. It gives you color instantly so that you can see where you are applying it. HTH.

I'd suggest doing a spray tan at a salon. It'll be even and only one quick time. I've found coupons for $10 for a session in my local val-pack. A bottle of self tanner is usually about the same cost and you can't be sure you got everything.

Or Sublime Glow from L'Oreal works nicely.

Thanks for the tips! Curlee: Forgive me if this sounds silly. Do you use a tanning salon? Do they look at you strangely at all if you do? I just don't know any black people who go to or work at tanning salons. I am just picturing in my head, me walking in and the receptionist looking at me like ummmmm YOU want a tan? :lachen:

They treat me very nicely, also they're there to make a sale, so they don't care. They explained things and helped me a lot and there was no judgement that I could see, I obviously have no clue what they say when I leave.

I like the stand up bed, because it's stronger and I don't need as much time.
