Dr. Atkins Diet Plan

I wanted to find out if anyone has ever been on Dr. Atkins Low Carb Diet Plan and if so what was your opinion of it? Did you experience any hair loss and what affect if any did it have on your complexion? My cousin is doing this and this is her 2nd week. She has lost weight but she did suffer from constipation which she had to drink ground flax seed in water.
