I went to see my bariatric doctor today, and she did a Body mass analysis. We found that I had dropped (according to them) 20 pounds of pure fat since Jan. 7th, which is so exciting to me. My weight loss had stuttered this week because, as the report showed, I have gained 3 pounds in lean body mass. I went from 257, to 237 (232 on my scale...), with 147 pounds of lean body mass to 150 pounds lean body mass (I'm 5'9).

What have I learned from this?

- I shouldn't beat myself up about never really being able to see myself lighter than 150 - based on the above, there is a reason why

- My workouts have been very effective, giving me a higher resting metabolism, therefore increasing the amount of calories I may eat

- clean eating, resistance training, and cardio 4+ times a week are the way to go!

- BMA's are great to show you what is really happening inside your body; this has helped keep me from becoming discouraged and complacent.

I just wanted to share, you guys, keep up the good work!
