I figured this could be a place for those questions you have that really don't need an entire post.
Please quote the question you are answering.

I'll go first:

I wash my brushes once a week but what can I use to clean them in between make up applications?

I've watered down some brush cleaner and put it in a small spray bottle, spray and wipe with a paper towel and leave to dry.

I sometimes just wipe them with a baby wipe to sanitize and get of excess color in between washes.

I have a question:
What is a good translucent powder that doesnt deposit color but doesnt make u look ashy either? I need a good setting powder. Im open to pressed powder too, especially since its less messy.

The only true translucent powder I have used that didn't make me look ashy was MAC Blot. I set my make up with pressed powder that I put on with a powder brush.

You can apply it with a wet brush. You can also use some sort of cream color like a neutral MAC shade stick or the Loreal Hip creme paints (the ones in the tube) over your eye first as a base. Some people also use the Relvon cream shadows for this purpose too

Use a base. (Crayon or MAC Paint Pot.)
Use your shadow wet.

Also, Loreal make a primer just like UDPP. It's only about $10.00.

Ditto to that! And if u are using a vibrant color, try it over a black base (on the lid only or slightly past the crease, but not all the way to the browbone)...it makes the color crazy intense, and also gives depth and makes it last longer. U can use one of those creamy eyeliner/eyshadow type sticks for this purpose. Try it on your hand, u will be amazed! I did some color swatches on my hand/arm using various color bases and the color payoff is amazing. Now I know what I was doing wrong all along when colors didnt used to show up on my medium brown skin. A base makes a huge difference!

The Loreal HIP eye crayons work well as a base too. So do NYX jumbo eyeshadow pencils.

They don't fit the second hole in the sharpeners? ...I though most sharpeners has two different sized holes.

Leslie...I haven't found a TRUE translucent powder that doesn't make me look ashy yet. But I don't have a problem using pressed powder and regular pressed powder with color.

Thanks! I have two of the Jane's also. (BOGO sale) I was wondering about the Jane pencils and sharpening. You right, they look plastic.

I didn't try it because they look kinda plastic like. Mine are not in the need of sharpening yet; but I was wondering how you do it when it's time since I wasn't sure if that was truly wood or not.

Tarte makes this really good lip treatment stick....one side exfoliates the other moisturizes. Sally Hansen makes the knock off I belive

You can also try putting alot of vaseline on your lips and using a warm washcloth and use it to gently remove the dead skin. Afterward put on some moisturizing balm.

Some people use a toothbrush with some moisturizer and do this but I find it to be a little too harsh. You don't want to get carried away. If you want to try that buy a baby toothbrush.

Warm towel and a little baking soda. I also have used the toothbrush method.

A Dior make-up artist gave me a trick that really worked! Take some vaseline and add some Gold Bond cream to it. (I mix mine 3 parts Vaseline/1 part GoldBond) Use it at nightly. You can use it during the day but you know we are to busy putting on our lipsticks and glosses during the day.;) HTH

Thanks for another great tip...My lips are dry/chapped from some medication Ive been taking and I need them to be nice and smooth by next weekend. Blistex/Carmex isnt doing the trick so Ill try this. I use vaseline/warm washcloth on some of the kids I work with, so I dont know why I didnt think to use it on myself. The thing is, they arent really flaky...just really dry/not smooth and my upper lip even looks a little puffy at the top.
