Half my toenail is gone

I bruised my nail at a work event last summer and half the nail finally fell off. It's not the half closest to the cuticle.
Would it be ok to get a fake one put on :look:

I don't know about where you all live, but they do that here in Detroit.

I just know my nail won't grow back by sandal season :perplexed

I do not suggest that you put a fake nail on only because it might cause a fungus to grow under it. I would wait it out. a corner of my big toe nail had a crack in the middle and I was trying to stop if from completly fallng off, I had them put a silk wrap on the crack. Then I had to have them take that part of the nail off because the wrap was causing water to be trapped under my nail bed and it caused a fungus. My nail is growing back really nicely now but I would never to that again:ohwell:

Yes, don't put an extension on your toe nail! This happened to me not long before sandal season. I bought this nail oil called Mavaderma - by Mavala. I think I got it from Amazon.com. It makes nails grow fast. I was back in sandals by summer! HTH.

its better to leave your nail uncovered.and dry.and it will grow back in nicely in no time....fake nails will hinder the growing process....
i had a similar inccident..more than half of my toe nail went off.. it was painless though..tank God for that.
